I can't wait to see her, Prince Henrik is so darn cute, I have no doubt this little Princess will be beautiful. I want to know her name, damn the Danish and their traditions!

Not fair. They will be leaving the hospital while I am at work.
Guess I will have to have to make do with pictures - and hopefully a video -when I get home. I want to see the princess too.
Can't wait to find out if she is as pretty as people says.

Ugh, I can't wait for tomorrow. Everything is just ten times more exciting because it's (finally) a girl.

Thank you Muhler for those translations and explanations. I was wanting to know what Joachim said in his media conference but my Danish is too broken to be of much use there. many thanks.
I too am very keen to see the new princess. Marie does not get much coverage down here but I have been following her progress from afar. She seems very natural and down to earth. Congratulations.

Hi Muhler! Why Prince Joachim is not escorted by PET but Marie is? Thanks!

Hello Juliette2. Muhler, correct me if I'm wrong. Joachim and Marie both have PET "minders" but don't have an extra vehicle escorting them through the traffic as with the other more senior royal couples.
Happy to be corrected.

Normally neither Joachim nor Marie have bodyguards around them. That is also the case with Benedikte.
PET is present at Rigshospitalet, because of the attention and interest and because Marie and her child are more vulnerable there. It's simply to provide more authority and muscle in case there is an intruder. I.e. anything from an paparazzi to an admirer, who might not be deterred by Rigshospitalet's own security guards. - Who after all are not trained to the same level at police officers.
J&M usually have no protection around at all, even when on the job. I have often noticed that not even a uniformed police officer is nearby.
So the threat level must be considered very low.
Whether they have some sort of alarm is of course another matter.
You are welcome, Lady Rosie.

I used to be able to stay awake this long but now with class starting at 8am everyday, I can never keep my eyes open longer then 1am. Wish they'd leave a bit earlier then planned cause otherwise I'm going to miss it and catching up later is never quite as exciting.

Muhler, thank you for clearing up the PET issue. I must say it surprises me that they have no visible protection. It is refreshing though these days. It must add a level of freedom that the F & M do not have.
Yes only a few hours to go!

A cute little girl!
She seems a bit jaundiced to me, but it might be my screen.
Marie's Danish seems very good; she catches many questions from the myriad of journalists, not bad.

Okay, the show is over.
This is daddy's girl! Let there be no doubt about that. He is über delighted about having a little girl of his own now.
Our Marie was confident and happy. And as we could expect she was more than willing to talk about her child. I couldn't make out that much about what she said, because Joachim was answering questions to other reporters at the same time. But her Danish sure is brilliant! She is very easy to understand indeed.
The little new Piaf has been kind towards her mother. She has a good appetite and she is gaining weight.
Bette Henrik is fond of his new kidsister, Marie told us, however, it would be desirable if she plays with cars, Henrik thinks.
Joachim believes she will be spoiled rotten by her older brothers.
- On another note. There were several PET officers around at the hospital, but when M&J left in their SUV, they had no escort.
