IIRC Christian only has every other weekend off, so I suppose his attendance would depend on whether 12 September falls on one of his free weekends.
Beautiful video and pictures by Vincent! Love that they include Grace.

The Royal Run: 2019-2021
Today is Royal Run.
The event will be covered live on TV2, which the majority here cannot see.
However, there will naturally be updates, photos and videos uploaded all day both on tv.dk and other news sites. And this is where our newsdiggers come in, because I will focus on writing about what is going on.
The coverage starts at 10.10 and will end around 18.00 this evening, with a summary around 20.00 or so.
The public service channel Dr.dk will not show live, but I should be very surprised if they don't upload videos.
Billedbladet.dk will show live as well, but probably with only one camera at a time, so that will be limited.
BT.dk will probably also have a camera or two here and there, but I should be surprised if they don't have a live blog.
The whole thing will start in the town of Sønderborg, where Frederik will run at 11.00.
So keep an eye on:
jv.dk
tvsyd.dk
Then Mary will run in the city of Aalborg at 14.00.
So keep an eye on:
tv2nord.dk
nordjyske.dk
Sometime between 12.00 and 16.00 Frederik will run in the city of Odense.
So keep an eye on:
tv2fyn.dk
fyens.dk
At some point between 19.00 and 23.00 Frederik will run in Copenhagen. And this is where his family might join him or at least cheer on him and the other runners.
So keep an eye on
berlingske.dk (they usually have great photos)
tv2lorry.dk
I wonder if Royal Run isn't so well established by now that it merits a thread of its own?
Frederik will run a celebratory run at 17.30 in Copenhagen with the para-athletes who took part in the Olympics in Tokyo.
Frederik has right now left Dannebrog in the harbor of Sønderborg.
I'm glad Ulla Terkelsen are among the team commenting on this event. Then we are guaranteed some intelligent and witty remarks.
Frederik is being interviewed by TV2. Nothing particular being said. He's delighted so many will run today. He is in fine form, no problems with his back.
A little less than 80.000 have signed up for Royal Run and then there are the unofficial runs here and there.
The population of DK is 6.8 million, so you do the math.
Frederik is being received by reenactors in uniforms from the Second Schleswigan War of 1864. Sønderborg was the site of a very severe bombardment.
Frederik is to fire a cannon from 1864, a muzzle-loader. The flower or cannon-girl is also in uniform and about five years old or so.
Frederik went to NCO school in Sønderborg so he knows the town well.
Frederik is doing what he does best, mingling and chatting with people.
The cannon will start the run at 11.00.
Frederik is of course not being driven to the starting point. He is cycling. - Very appropriate.
This part of DK is very national and it's indeed here that most have signed up for the run outside Copenhagen. 18.000.
The PM of Schleswig-Holstein will also take part in the run. There are of course close relations across the border today.
-------------
Frederik being interviewed again standing on a beer-box (crate?) it's that sort of details that are so great.
Frederik says Mary is almost in Aalborg, so coverage from there coming up.
----------------
The people running with Frederik shortly are veterans who suffer from various forms of mental traumas.
----------------
Mary will run 5 km in Aalborg.
Frederik will soon run one mile = 1.600 km. But a Danish mile is 7 km.

I like how this special event for Fred's 50th birthday has become an annual event that so many people can participate and enjoy.
Even though it's not as glittering or grand as some other event that we royalwatchers like to see, it encourages a positive lifestyle and I can imagine it is well received by the common people in Denmark?

Some good tags to follow on IG for the Royal Run are #royalrun, #royalrun2020, #royalrun2021
Many participants and vendors already posting about today's event.
Speaking of IG, here's a very nice picture of Frederik https://www.instagram.com/p/CTttnFfg...dium=copy_link

This is fantastic. and sure seeing the gowns, uniforms and bling is fun....but it is full of protocol, etc. Something like the Royal Run is fun because it gets people out and active...especially this year after such a long time of lockdowns and quarantines. And from all I've seen so far, this type of event is where Frederik is at his utmost best...this is why people just love him and find him so down to earth and relatable. That goes for Mary as well.

It is a very popular thing! And growing.
Some 30 % who take part today have never taken part in a such a run before.
It's also a very communal activity and there is a sense of taking part side by side and on eye-level with M&F in particular, even if you only see a glimpse of them.
Go in Sønderborg!
Sailors from Dannebrog are also taking part in the run.
Frederik is running with the veterans.
--------------------
It's optional whether you sprint, jog, walk or roll. (Some are in wheelchairs.)
--------------
Frederik has finished his first run.
Frederik hints that his family will take part. So that suggests that his children will run at some point as well.
----------------
Frederik is posing with ordinary people, so expect loads of posts on Facebook, Twitter and so on.
Frederik is boarding Dannebrog.
---------------
A 98 year old Yrsa will run 5 km. That's pretty impressive!
------------------
More women than men have signed up for Royal Run, especially among the first time runners.
It's a communal activity where you need not feel ashamed over your wide hips, because there are lots of other women in all ages and shapes.
-----------
Frederik is standing on the side of a street cheering people on. No PET officers around. If there are, they are keeping a very good distance!
---------------
Times:
Mary will run at 13.40 in Aalborg.
Frederik will run in Odense at 14.45.
Frederik will run in Copenhagen at 17.40.
And again at 19.05.
One of the routes will pass Amalienborg, so we can indeed expect the CP-family to cheer on the runners outside.
The clock is 11.20 DK-time as the times above are added.
Isabella, Vincent and Josephine will run the Family-Mile - solo - at 12.40 in Copenhagen.
Because mom and dad are in other parts of DK.
Christian may not take part today, because it may not be a weekend off at the boarding school this weekend.
Live blog from BT: https://www.bt.dk/royale/live-foelg-...de-i-alle-byer
Lots of photos, updates and videos coming up there.

The Family Mile with Isabella and the twins will run in ten minutes. They will end at their home at Amailenborg. very practical.
I guess Vincent will dart off, while Isabella and Josephine will run together.
-----------------
The Family Mile starts in Aalborg now. The oldest is 97, the youngest eleven days.
-----
The children are at the starting line.
-------------
Josephine being a little ham as always. While Vincent observes as he always do.
The children are each being escorted by what I guess are officers cadets.
Vincent's clock is being checked - he is ready!
-----------
Josephine is dancing with her running mate, whom she seems to have a good rapport.
-------------
They are running with a major from the Royal Lifeguard Regiment. The Guards battalion to be exact. He is someone with whom Josephine is very comfortable with.
-------------
Go!
Isabella stuck her fingers in her ears, before the shot was fired.
-----------
They are joined by 4.000 other runners.
--------------
Vincent has crossed the finishing line.
--------------
A blown Josephine has finished the run.
Isabella is coming in and finished.
The twins outran big-sis.
--------------
Posing, so photos coming up. Probably no interview. - At least not now. And that's probably wise, as their parents aren't present.
--------------
Frederik finished his first run in 7:10.
---------------
In Odense Frederik will say hello to the oldest runner, 97 year old Yrsa, who has signed up for the 5 km run!
Mary should arrive in Aalborg any moment now.

Since it seems to have become an annual event, I think it definitely deserves its own thread.

Thanks for posting the articles.
Great to see the children running again this year, they must miss Christian being there with and for them. The twins are so happy and sweet.

Mary has arrived in Aalborg, geared up and ready.
-------------
14.300 have signed on in Aalborg. Mary will run along with 5.000 people for the 5 km run.
But first a communal warming up.
------------------
Mary at the starting line. Can't spot any PET officers near her. - Correction there is one, trying not look like a PET officer.
Selfies with Mary.
Warm up.
-----------
Close behind Mary are some 100 residents of communal homes for mentally handicapped.
Go!
-------------
A charming photo of Isabella giving it all: https://images.scribblelive.com/2021...653e92fdd0.jpg
--------------
Mary has finished her run. 27 minutes. - Being interviewed. Hardly out of breath. She's visibly and genuinely delighted.
-------------
Frederik has arrived in Odense. - And I'm going to take a break.
Thanks not least to Izzie for her first royal live event as a newsdigger here on TRF.

In a surprising turn of events, according to Billed Bladet, Prince Vincent and Prince Felix got together and ran the 5km distance as well with Isabella and Josephine cheering them on from the side.

A nice surprise indeed.
BB writes that Felix' girlfriend also cheered on from the side.
And that the two of them left after the run.
Felix has a an apartment at Amalienborg.

The 10 km run starts in 20 minutes.
They have a segment with an American exchange student, from Florida, who was surprised with in invitation to run the 10 km run with her host family when she arrived a few days ago.
Apparently she had written in her letter describing herself, that she likes to run. - That'll teach her.
Frederik will start the 10 km run for the serious runners in a few minutes. Then he will run himself.
He has just said that he is not in pain this time.
You may recall that he was in pain at the first run, could not run along at the second run, but this time there are no problems.
------------------
It appears people have misunderstood things. The fast runners have been send off, but the rest who were supposed to start with Frederik in a few minutes, have also started to run, so he has to join in it some point.
Ah, the officials have stopped the stampede and now we can have a proper start for the rest of the runners.
---------------
Go!
-----------
Mary and children are standing outside Amalienborg to cheer people on.
--------------
The first completed the run in 27 or so minutes.
---------
The first woman completed in some 35 minutes.
----------
Mary and Bella are waiting at the finishing line for dad, who finish now.
He was received by his family and the time was checked. good time! 48:51.
-------------
Frederik is going to celebrate with his family in the couch - with his legs up.
And that's all, folks.
