And article and pics from Jyllandsposten:

Thanks, Flowerbed for the video :flowers:
The other pics and clips are delightful too.

The sound is pretty poor, but fortunately we learn most of what was being said in the article.

There were however a couple of things not in the article:
Q: Can you write your own name? Isabella: "Yes".

Q: Shall Prince Christian help you with your homework? Isabella shook her head decidely: "No".

Isabella told the press: "I have a pencil house and cryons in the school bag".
Mary added that Isabella is very much ready to go to school.

Isabella told the reporters: "I know four of those in the class and they are sweet". (For the next couple of months all the 0 graders will go in the same class. Then they will be split into two classes depending on the composition of the children and on who go well together).

Other info: She can write her own name and she knows the letters and the numbers. Mary said that she writes well.

Thanks Muhler. The new videos with better sound allowed me to hear a little more :flowers:

You may remember that Christian was asked about what he had in his lunch box and said "It's a secret." Bella was asked the same question by Billed Bladet's Ulrik Ulriken and she responded with a smile "Something delicious".

Question: Isabella, what has Christian told you about the school?
Isabella: "That it is good."
Frederik: "Yes, you have followed your brother to school a few times, right?"
Isabella: "Yes, and I have sometimes been with him in school."
Frederik and Mary: "Yes, it's not a completely unfamiliar area for her."

When Isabella tells she knows a couple of the girls in the new class and she adds "... and they are sweet" I noticed that Mary and Frederik laugh to each other and Frederik added laughing to Mary "That was fortunate" :D

Isabella tells she can the entire alphabet.

Question: Have Isabella went to SFO beforehand?
Mary and Isabella shakes their heads while Frederik answers
"No, but she will start now. So far she has been in her parents' SFO" :p

Question: Why have The Crown Prince Couple chosen a public school for their children?
Frederik: "We are extremely pleased with Christian's public school, so it's obvious to send our second-oldest in the school as well."

The journalists: "Have a very good first day of school, Isabella."
Isabella: "Thank you very much, bye bye."

Greenland has covered Bella's day too.

Cannot believe I've watched this girl from birth! It's such a weird feeling.

I notice Mary and Isabella have matching bracelets. Such a charming little girl.

Isabella's very cute and she did well in front of all those journalists! I hope she had a good first day at school!

She's one of my very favorite royals, and I do believe Grandpa Henrik agrees with me. What a little sweetie she is!

Do they do the tooth fairy in Denmark? I hope so!

What's SFO? Isabella looks so adorable! She's going to be lots of fun in school!

What a sweetheart!!!:flowers: I never knew Fred could look as beautiful as a little girl.:ROFLMAO: She is her daddy in female form, her eyes are electrical, such a beauty. I too can't believe I watched this little girl come home from hospital. :D

She looks so much like Prince Hendrik.... Cutest kid out....

thanks everyone for the photos, videos and notes.

Its really a joy to see Isabella, I love that the Danish CP couple does this photoshoot.

All three looked great, and the parents looked very proud of their little girl.

And i noticed that Frederik is wearing the same coat he wore last year for Christian's first day of school, maybe a new tradition for him? ;)

Neither Prince Christian nor Princess Isabella will attend SFO, but GFO :ROFLMAO::flowers: In Gentofte municipality the name is GFO :flowers:

Ah I see.. Thank FasterB, I stand corrected :)

What's SFO? Isabella looks so adorable! She's going to be lots of fun in school!

In Denmark, most preschool children go to school 4 hours at day - from 8 am to around 12 noon. When the school day ends around 12 noon the children goes to their GFO/SFO where they play, relax and have fun in some hours until mom and dad are off from work and pick them up.

Very cute, it looks like Mary & Isabella are wearing similar bracelets.

it appears like all of the journalists accepted that after this lovely photo session they leaved isabella alone with her parents and dont followed after them to school. im very happy for that and it is a good way to do it. hope she has had a good first day :)

I agree with you Maggie, it is a good thing Fred and Mary are doing for us, to allow a simple photo shoot for the first day. And just think in a few more years it will be the turn of the twins. Allowing this photo opportunity should make everyone happy.

A great moment in her young life and for the family! Frederik looks cool as usual - love the blur shoelaces!

What a lovely little session. I love how Isabella was a little nervous yet her wonderful, bubbly character shined right through. She's such a cutiepie. Time really flies, it seems like just yesterday that M+F brought her home from the hospital.

Isabella is such a lively character, and I bet she'll be a lot of fun to teach (as long as she doesn't use her antics to distract others [though as a teacher, I can say that sometimes those little interludes are needed by all parties, and therefore, I'm very grateful to one of my former students for making this year full of laughter, even if at some points it was at inappropriate times]). I loved seeing how excited she was about her first day of school. I'm also glad to see that her parents worked with her, to make sure she was on the same level as her peers. That type of preparedness will only help her.

So since she's 6 and a half, is the school more like our first grade in the States?

Very cute! Thanks everybody for the translations. They were all very excited!

:flowers:
