Cannot believe I've watched this girl from birth! It's such a weird feeling.

She's one of my very favorite royals, and I do believe Grandpa Henrik agrees with me. What a little sweetie she is!

What a sweetheart!!! I never knew Fred could look as beautiful as a little girl. She is her daddy in female form, her eyes are electrical, such a beauty. I too can't believe I watched this little girl come home from hospital.

thanks everyone for the photos, videos and notes.
Its really a joy to see Isabella, I love that the Danish CP couple does this photoshoot.
All three looked great, and the parents looked very proud of their little girl.

And i noticed that Frederik is wearing the same coat he wore last year for Christian's first day of school, maybe a new tradition for him?

Neither Prince Christian nor Princess Isabella will attend SFO, but GFO In Gentofte municipality the name is GFO

In Denmark, most preschool children go to school 4 hours at day - from 8 am to around 12 noon. When the school day ends around 12 noon the children goes to their GFO/SFO where they play, relax and have fun in some hours until mom and dad are off from work and pick them up.

I agree with you Maggie, it is a good thing Fred and Mary are doing for us, to allow a simple photo shoot for the first day. And just think in a few more years it will be the turn of the twins. Allowing this photo opportunity should make everyone happy.

What a lovely little session. I love how Isabella was a little nervous yet her wonderful, bubbly character shined right through. She's such a cutiepie. Time really flies, it seems like just yesterday that M+F brought her home from the hospital.

Isabella is such a lively character, and I bet she'll be a lot of fun to teach (as long as she doesn't use her antics to distract others [though as a teacher, I can say that sometimes those little interludes are needed by all parties, and therefore, I'm very grateful to one of my former students for making this year full of laughter, even if at some points it was at inappropriate times]). I loved seeing how excited she was about her first day of school. I'm also glad to see that her parents worked with her, to make sure she was on the same level as her peers. That type of preparedness will only help her.

So since she's 6 and a half, is the school more like our first grade in the States?
