It is Isabella's confirmation tomorrow, and as far as I can tell, there will be no live coverage on the public service channels. But I should be very surprised if BB and probably BT as well will cover it live, with one camera team each.
Isabella, as you may have observed, is a girl. The first teenage princess in DK for some 60 years. As such there is a good deal of interest in her, but by the public and by the media.
The fashion editor for the women's weekly Femina, has been talking to the gossip mag, Se & Hør about Isabella:
https://www.tvguide.dk/nyheder/2022/...sesse-isabella
The editor, Louise Rasmussen, says: "When a Princess dare show that she is not always following the norms, but dare break them by putting her own personal touch on her style and does not let herself become dictated by old traditions, it shows an independence and a curiosity, which many of us know from ourselves, and in that way she is getting more at eye-level with other teenage girls.
I certainly think she inspires young girls and perhaps even other foreign princesses. Certainly in showing the world that you as a princess can be into fashion and dress in wild colors and that you can combine the blazer-look at special occasions, with the baseball cap-look on a day to day basis."
- Pleading incompetence and ignorance in regards to teenage fashion, I have no comments.

Were the confirmations of Princes Frederik and Joachim as low-key as the confirmations of Prince Christian and Princess Isabella?
Please feel free to move this question to the appropriate thread.

In a sense, yes.
Because we only had one public service channel back then. So the coverage would have been limited and aired in a segment on the evening news.
Otherwise it would have been photos in magazines and newspapers.

From around noon. That's in less than four hours from this is posted.
I'll provide a running commentary.
The weather is dry and sunny, albeit not too warm, so good photos coming up.
Queen Mathilde is there.
We'll see from the official guest list published later, whether other royals will attend.

Thanks Muhler! Wonderful to hear Queen Mathilde is there! There was speculation about her attending given her being positive for covid recently.
Checking the BB website, they're all over this confirmation.

Live link from BB https://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelig...s-konfirmation
Photos of the guests have been posted.
Okay, the family walked from Kancellihuset to the main entrance of Fredensborg Palace, where they were received by QMII. Here they briefly posed for the photographers. And now they will will continue with the actuall confirmation. They will walk from a side entrance to the palace church, and we won't see much of that.
But at 13.00, that's in an hour, the family will again pose for the photographers, when the confirmation is over. - And then the private celebration of Isabella will start.
BB will again send live from shortly before 13.00.
In the meantime get ready for loads of photos.
Let's go through some of the guests: https://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelig...ation#143234-1
Preben Kristensen and Ellen Hillingsøe
Preben Kristensen is the husband of Mary's hairdresser Søren Hedegaard.
They are also personal friends of M&F.
The Hillingsøe family are old friends of the DRF, with Ellen Hillingsøe being an inner circle friend of M&F.
The Estrup family. Don't know about them.
The Fleming family from Valdemar Manor.
https://www.danskeherregaarde.dk/upl...ars-slot-5.jpg
The Heering family, with Peter Heering being the godfather of Isabella. Inner circle friends.

Wasn't it like this at Christian's confiormation too? Wonder why they never use the direct entrnace to the Castle Church as it is on the Way from Kancellihuset.

Probably to please the onlookers. By going this way, they will pass close to the place where members of the public are standing. - And the photographers get more time to snap away from all angles.
The BT coverage: https://www.bt.dk/royale/live-nu-bli...la-konfirmeret
Photos and videos.
The friends are arriving: https://billedbladet-prod.imgix.net/...=imgixjs-3.4.0
Looks like a very chatty crowd!
Poor Frederik, his ears will be ringing for the next few days.
Hmmm... they look pretty uniformed. Perhaps it's the choir?
It is the choir.
Nice weather, so quite a crowd has showed up.
As mentioned before BT has a live blog, if you wish to congratulate Isabella or her family or have a question you wish to ask, you can do so by hitting this text: Stil spørgsmål (ask question) in the black beam to the upper right.
Don't worry about asking in English, the reply will probably be in Danish, but I'll be around to translate if your question is published.
https://www.bt.dk/royale/live-nu-bli...la-konfirmeret
You click on Stil Spørgsmål.
Then you are required to submit a username.
Click Næste = next.
Then you write your text.
And hit send.

It makes sense as Queen Mathilde is Princess Isabella's godmother. I remember Queen Margrethe mentioned it explicitly in her speech at the Belgian state dinner a couple of years ago. She seems to be very fond of the Belgian royal couple, whom she sees as family although King Philippe is actually only a third cousin once removed (he and CP Frederik are fourth cousins).
Christian IX of Denmark > Frederik VIII of Denmark > Christian X of Denmark > Frederik IX of Denmark > Margrether II of Denmark.
Christian IX of Denmark > Frederik VIII of Denmark > Princess Ingeborg of Denmark (later Princess of Sweden) > Astrid, Queen Consort of the Belgians (née Princess of Sweden) > Albert II, King of the Belgians > Philippe, King of the Belgians.

I didn't know Queen Mathilde had been positive for Covid recently. I guess I have been too busy at work to follow the royal news. How long ago was that?

Her infection was announced on April 20, she had her first official engagement after this in Brussels on April 26.
So the infection has not been any obstacle.

BB is live from the photoseance
https://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelig...s-konfirmation
That is about to start shortly.
-------------
Isabella answered quite a few questions.
She was also addressed with formal You, for the first time in an official setting I think.
She has been looking forward to her confirmation.
It really hasn't dawned on her that she "entered the ranks of the adults." - Hasn't been thinking about it.
Looking forward to being celebrated by very close friends.
She miss her Australian family. A pity they couldn't be here.
She hasn't really noticed the very considerable attention her confirmation is getting. (Being the first teen Princess in the DRF for so many years.)
Being in focus on her own, is not something she has tried before, but it''s new and exiting.
And then a journalist asked M&F the most silly question today: "What surprises do you have in store for Isabella later today?" - Frederik: "Well, it wouldn't be a surprise if we told it here."
But Isabella was looking forward to that part!
-----------
She did very well and answered the questions clearly and with confidence.
-------------
As can be expected good photos from Berlingske: https://www.berlingske.dk/danmark/pr...g-rar-foelelse
https://berlingske.bmcdn.dk/media/ca.../24080606-.jpg
Lots of details regarding dresses and jewellery and when and where they were worn is pouring in on both BT and BB, but I'll leave that to the resident experts.
https://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelig...under#143246-1
Christian helped farmor Margrethe both down and up the stairs.

Every one looks nice, although I am a bit surprised that Isabella is wearing a pants suit.

DRF Instagram has posted official photos that were taken of CP family prior to the confirmation.

I love that she wore a pantsuit. She looks great in them plus you can tell that she feels comfortable, confident and herself in pantsuits. She still looks absolutely appropriate for the event as well. And like you said, it seems to be the growing trend...look at Princess Amalia and Princess Ingrid Alexandra. Even little Princess Estelle I believe wore a pant suit in her recent official photos. Thank goodness these young royals are dragging the royal style further into the 21st century.
Anyway....back to the confirmation. Could Mary and Frederik look any more proud of Isabella. I dare say I could sense pride from Christian for his sister as well.
