Yet another tightly packed official programme. They must be exhausted after those trips. This time they fortunately can avoid jetlags and long travel times with a flight time from Copenhagen to Hamburg on only 50 minuttes.

Thanks for the many delightful pics.
Germany is without comparison the biggest export market for DK, which is also why more than 100 companies are represented in the delegation following M&F. While Northern Germans are (I'd claim) pretty familiar with DK, that is not necessarily so with Southern Germans, which is also why M&F are visiting Munich/München, not to mention that the economy down there is pretty sound, as I understand it.
That is also why the business papers are covering this visit. And it means a lot for particularly us living in Jutland and Funen, because the business ties, for geographical reasons, are close. - Quite a few Germans now live and work in DK and a number of Danes have moved across the border to Germany to live there while working in DK. (Lower taxes).
Also if you live in Jutland you embark on regular pilgrimages with your trailer (also known as a Jutlander-hook) to Germany to do your shopping. If you live in Southern Jutland you don't go to Danish supermarket unless you forgot to buy milk... Something our politicians who stay in Copenhagen completely fail to comprehend...
A nice gallery from Royalista of Mary trying to hold on to all the flowers she has received - and failing. Fortunately the likable Minister for Trade and Development Mogens Jensen was there. -

Security presence is pretty high, so far I've counted five bodyguards, none of them from PET (don't recognize any and DK police officers, like their Swedish counterparts, stand out like lighthouses in a crowd ). I guess Germany has rules about foreign armed police officers operating in Germany?
As Roskilde pointed out, M&F were well covered on the evening news. Not least in why they go to Germany and why it means so much to Danish businesses that they go.
Publicity, good publicity sell. Status open doors and including an opportunity to mean real live royals is a great incentive to attract German business people and thereby establish contacts between companies that may otherwise not have made any particular contact.
The German public service channel NDR has this about M&F:
First a gallery: https://www.ndr.de/nachrichten/hambu...ederik116.html
Article with video: https://www.ndr.de/nachrichten/hambu...ederik210.html
As a little trivia: the population of Hamburg is slightly less than the population of DK. So no wonder that city is a must for such a visit.
The comment down below, express a delight that NDR in their news had M&F as their top story. - (So am I, so am i!)
ADDED: Hamburger Morgenpost also have a couple of nice little articles: http://www.mopo.de/promi---show/kron...,30737960.html
http://www.mopo.de/nachrichten/olaf-...,30731532.html
A gallery from Radio Hamburg: http://www.radiohamburg.de/VIP/Royal...uch-in-Hamburg
From gala.de: http://www.gala.de/royals/skandinavi...r_1256035.html
The purpose of the visit is well covered and Australia gets a positive mentioning as well.
VIP.de has a small gallery: http://www.vip.de/cms/prinz-frederik...2-2316137.html
From shz.dk http://www.shz.de/hamburg/meldungen/...id9743796.html - Tasmania gets a mentioning.
A nice serious article from Augsburger Allgemeine http://www.augsburger-allgemeine.de/...d34121332.html
The Nordschleswiger also covers the visit: http://www.nordschleswiger.dk/news.4...jysk-Kaffebord
They write for the ethnic German minority in DK, but also for the many Germans now living and working in DK.

Thanks Muhler and Polyesco,
We see Frederik always has his arm on Mary's lower back, but I can't not help but highlight this glorious picture of Frederik having his hand at... ehm another place on his wife

 Thanks for the video, Polyesco.
That was a very positive coverage indeed!
I'm glad the royal enthusiast (the big smiling lady with the crown) got her wish fulfilled, so that she many never wash her hand again... - She seemed like a kindred spirit, Polyesco. More pleased it seemed with Frederik grabbing her than Mary.
And I've said this before and I'm delighted to repeat it: Each and every time Mary is on the job abroad, the word "Australia" pops up. Free life long positive advertizing for Australia, not a bad bargain, eh?
ARD is a public service channel, so we a not talking about a network viewed by 27 people.
