Hella Joof and her husband are close friends of M&F. (Didn't know that.)
Mary was not listed to among those who attended the premiere, so it was surprise.
The moving picture is called Meters per Second - and I have no idea what it's about.

She's been a long-time friend of the couple. I first recalled her at the twins christening.

Our children are not always equally excited about visiting museums, churches or listening to history stories. It becomes easier when the storyteller has great empathy and when the story is about your own family.

The monarchy is deeply rooted in Danish history and culture. History is an important cornerstone for understanding the times we live in, who we are as a people, and what binds us. Our children grow up with history on the walls and in the hallways, yet we as parents and crown prince couple want to pass on history to the next generation (and refresh our own) in an exciting way.

We have therefore started a series of guided tours of Danish castles and museums, where director Thomas Thulstrup from Kongernes Samling talks about the Danish history based on Danish kings and queens throughout time. The first stop was Rosenberg Castle, where we heard about the Olden citizens and the time from electoral royalty over monarchy to constitutional monarchy.

And it was a great joy for all six of us.

I love this idea of Prince Frederik and Princess Mary's children visiting palaces and museums related to the monarchy. It will be good for them to learn more about the Danish monarchy and history.
 
And I like that it may take a little persuasion to drag them into these museums. ?

I think as a teen you either love history - or you don't! At all...
 
Very interesting! It’s cool that they were able to look at the robe up close. I wonder if they were allowed to touch the Crown Jewels.
 
I think it’s wonderful that the Danes have a robe that is so old. It’s sad that the BRF don’t have complete garments from even the 17th century in their collection. That gown must have looked spectacular when all that gold thread was new. It would be good iMO if this gown was returned by the Swedes.

Yes, these gentlemen are veterans, from a reconnaissance company in the Guards Hussars.
As a new first lieutenant Frederik commanded a recce platoon.
