Fred looks good, I like Mary's dress & jewellery but the hairstyle - just hanging down - ages her a lot.

I think recently the Spanish royals come to mind for using grey backgrounds too.

I like it. It serves a great contrast to the ones earlier this year that had a "busier" background

I loved the new pictures of Frederik and Mary.

They're also beautiful.

But this official pictures of the CP-couple we got earlier this year will be my very favourite. I loved it.

that one is very sweet, love it... but since their faces are turned you cant really use it on their bio pages

Frederik and Mary look great - how could they not? Not loving the background, though. The Swedish court has released a picture of the Crown Princess couple and their daughter with the same background, but much harsher lighting. Is this the new style? I hope not.

Considering that the royal house should be able to hire the best photographer that money can buy this photo of the couple is dreadful. Crown Princess Mary is an overlay over CP Frederik and is also done in such a way that CP Mary is much shorter than she is in real life. This couple does not need photo shopping or manipulation so why are they releasing such a photo? It looks fake no matter how one looks at it.

How does she appear shorter?

We got the "historical" background earlier this year and now we get a simple grey background... I think i like the historical background better.

But in both Frederik and Mary appear very elegant and regal.

I like the new photos of Frederik and Mary in general, Mary looks particularly regal in them. My only complaint is that the photos look photoshopped (to me) as if the photo of Mary and Frederik has been taken from another setting and placed onto the white background.

The new pictures aren't too flattering. The angles and lighting seem harsh and dont do either of them any favours. I also wonder why none of even the best photographers working today can't take a set of pictures without making the Photoshopping and editing glaringly obvious. How is it that photos from the 60s and even earlier almost always look better?

Lovely gallery.

As for the official pictures the more I see them the more I like them .
All Photos have some touch ups but with these I don't think they were photo shop alot.
You can still see wrinkles on both and they still look like themselves .
Flattering photos as I can't believe they are in their mid and late 40s.

Now I want one like the Swedes , with F&M in full slashes and medals and with the 4 kids

I like how the second article is all about what Mary is wearing, the Danish Ruby Parure , The order of the Elephant...and it then it ends with "The photos were taken at the appointment of Crown Prince Frederik to Rear Admiral of the Navy and to Major General of the Army and Air Force in Copenhagen." At least he got a mention

Now we just need pictures of Frederik in his Army and Air Force uniforms

It is from 2006 (during a funeral in Russia) where our Mary become so sick with morning sickness that she quite pale had to leave the funeral before the end (you can almost see it in the picture). The Danish media was sure - Mary was pregnant. Less than a month later the Royal Court could happily announce that, yes Mary was pregnant and expected her and Frederik's second child 6 months later Bella arrived.

The royals are just people like you and me. And morning sickness during pregnancy doesn't care whether you're royal or not.

There was a little incident after the ceremony, when all the royals had left. A poor Danish official was accidently knocked into the hole and had to be helped out. Poor Chap.

Older yes, but still younger than Mary

Mary was so nervous and at the same time very charming because of her spontaneity. Now her image is more polished, more professional - like it is the case for all crown princesses/queens of her generation.

I had forgotten what a busy day it was... She must have slept very little the night before and like a rock the night after
