Oh, I am certain that Mary is well aware of what is going on in her marriage and doesn't need to depend on anything that is printed in the gutter press.

HRH is doing, what I think to be, a stella job and I couldn't be more happy or more supportive of her and I am sure Frederik would agree.

The Aussie tabloids are doing what they do best and that is to try and bring about the downfall of famous (and I dont mean as in the Hollywood sense) ex-pats. At the start they seem all supportive but then... WHAM...

I'm sure Mary, her family and freinds take it all with a grain of salt which I think is the best thing to do.

since they both have a good sense of humor maybe they sit around and laugh about some of it, i would think that would be the healthiest way to deal with it.

What I wonder is why these mags are so sure that Mary is always sad...? When do you see her sad?! She's always smiling! From what these mags say, you'd think she should already be suffering from depression and taking meds. I never read these type of mags....they make my blood boil!

I agree with you Rachel...they always say she is sad, but every picture we see her in, she's smiling! And they publish those pictures in their articles!
They did report that she had post-natal depression last year, and that she had had words with the Queen over Christian's christening, and this was from a "palace source"

Hem..."palace source" - read "Ekstra Bladet"

Mary is the cover girl for Royalty Magazine again:

(Credit: Royalty Magazine)

Out of all the beautiful pictures to choose from Bornholm, they decide to use a picture when she's not smiling and has an odd expression on her face.

That is a misconception, that is is very hard to learn. It is actually fairly easy for an english speaker to learn. However pronounciation is very hard to master.

I also think she is doing a fine job, but the pronounciation seem to cause her some trouble, but not nearly enough to justify the frontpage in Ekstra Bladet, but then again it is not really a news paper.

I dont want to drag up this whole issue again, but aome people masters language easier than others. And on that note, I believe that Alexandra already spoke several languages...

Yes, and ?

I don't see how this relate to what I wrote. I did not bring up Alexandra. She is an entirely different person to me.

I was just correcting a misconception, that is is hard to learn danish. It is not. Especially not for an english speaking since the structure is allmost the same as well as basic grammer is sort of the same. The two languages are not wide apart.

In regards to Mary I am pretty sure she is quite fluent by now. You can tell she knows what to say, and that making it sound right is the hard part. It is not a problem. It is normal. She is not worse then other foreigners learning the language. She just have to speak publicly. The frontpage on Ekstra Bladet was by no means fair to her.

I had to chuckle about this one, Mary's new diet to look fantastic for her trip downunder. She always looks fantastic. She doesn't have an ounce of fat on her anywhere.

Mary & Christian on the cover of the New Idea
Obviously, the magazine is running the birthday photos. I expect Women's Day to do the same. When I can get the cover of WD, I'll post it here
