 I noticed.
Presumably to help herself from the irresistible urge to grope her husband...

Crown Princess Mary arrived this morning to Women Deliver in the Bella Center where she
immediately went to a meeting.
During the opening session Mary was in the company of her close friend Birgitte Handwerk, who
is a fundraiser for the organization Orchid Project which fights to stop female circumcision.
Between two meetings Crown Princess Mary got to greet the world famous and widely acclaimed
Belgian artist Kity Mbiango.
Birgitte Zachau Handwerk and Julie Mølsgaard are both close friends of F&M,
and are on the board of Orchidproject.dk
Some very busy days for Mary!

Summary of articles in Billed Bladet #20, 2016.
Written by our man on the spot, Ulrik Ulriksen.
These articles cover until the BB deadline Tuesday noon.
5.500 from 169 countries attended the Women Deliver conference.
Mary gave the opening speech and present were also Princess Mabel, Haakon and Mette-Marit, Benedikte and also Frederik. Prior to the opening they all met and had a chat, Benedikte and Mabel in particular had a good chat.
After the speech a visibly proud Frederik said: "Why, it's super worked out and there is professional expertise behind. One can hardly hide the pride over the delivery of it as well, so that simply can't be done any better".
Mary said afterwards: "I think the opening day went incredibly well. There are many high expectations, but so far I've already been very inspired.
I've taken part in various sessions and learned an incredible lot and there is simply a mood of now something must happen".
Many of the attendees wanted to be photographed with Mary.
Mary attended altogether more than 30 events, meetings and sessions during the conference, but it wasn't all about her. Mette-Marit and Benedikte gave speeches as well and also Annie Lennox was a big hit. According to BB she scored second after Mary on the clap-o-meter when she gave her speech at the opening. Annie Lennox focus on hiv/aids.

Mary doesn't just show up to cut a ribbon, accept flowers, and maybe make a speech. She is seriously involved with this! And that it's a family affair with Frederik and Benedikte attending is just icing on the cake. Well done, DRF!

Here are such happy pictures from the very last event during the Women Deliver 2016
- the closing of Conference: Be the Change You Want to See.
DR: Women Deliver ended with dancing and tears of joy!
https://scontent-arn2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...45&oe=579A6862 (A wonderful picture )

http://asset.dr.dk/imagescaler/?file...9-172046-l.jpg (Nice pic of Mary and Mabel)
Along the way there got danced - all - both the well-known people, royals - yes - also Crown Princess Mary was up and swinging the hair, politicians, journalists, men and women were up and dacing on the scene as the South African singers Yvonne Chaka Chaka gave all she had at the scene.
And the dancing continued to the tune of Franklin and Eurythmics - all the way out of the Bella Center.

Indeed! Mary attended altogether more than 30 events, meetings and sessions during this conference. She has been with from the very start and has been impressive involved. More than I have seen with royals before. As our former Minister For Development, Mogens Jensen, said: The Women Deliver is like Mary's and my common child.
You must say Mary doesn't need to say thank you and bow to her salary. She is worth every penny.
She must and can be proud. The conference has successful ended and has been well-covered - on both main tv-stations as well as in the serious media.
Another lovely picture from today's closing ceremony

A long article from the serious Berlingske who has interviewed Mary after today's closing ceremony.

 Then I shall provide a five-point summary.
- Mary is pretty pleased with the conference and the exchange of ideas and inspiration.
- This being the largest conference ever, comes at a decisive point. - Presumably believing that the time is ripe for making a genuine difference.
- Based on the ideas and thoughts she has learned about, Mary has a specific idea. Initial talks have been made, but more work needs to be done, before going public with the idea.
- She has been impressed with new apps, like SafeDelivery, that is very much aimed at the young. Hoping the young attendees will return home with renewed energy and inspiration.
- She is impressed with the way the private sector is increasingly getting involved in gender-equality and women's right. (- There is serious money in gender-equality new calculations have shown.)
- It has been estimated that if men and women had equal rights and access to jobs and education, the world GNP would go up by 26 % by mid 2020's. That's equivalent to the combined GNP of China and USA.
(It's logic actually. If a country can double it's talent mass by allowing women to utilize their potential the GNP will grow proportionally).

 Indeed.
Here another lovely picture from yesterday's closening ceremony proving that

A BB video from yesterday (last day)
VIDEO: Kronprinsesse Mary til flot finale med stærke kvinder fra hele verden | BILLED-BLADET
A proud and happy Mary could end the conference. And obviously full of presence and surplus of energy. On her way out in the car a bunch of schoolchildren are singing and Mary exclaims:
- Hey, I know that song..
- Yes, we sang it for you when you visited our school in Aarhus.
- Yes it's true. A thousand thanks.. Have a good evening, and don't eat too much candy, eh?
**
Here a video of CP Mary's entire opening/introduction speech (10 minutes)
And Mary has clearly spent a lot of time memorizing her speech. As she has freeing herself from having to read from the manuscript constantly. Well done!

I'm always so impressed by the way Mary has built up a substantive body of work over her years as a member of the royal family. Her work in the areas of gender equality and rights for disadvantaged women is especially admirable. There are, of course, some inherent limitations to her position as a royal - things she can't do or say - but she's a great example of how a prominent and meaningful role can be built over time with the right attitude.

Well said Camelot. This is probably why she won the Bambi award in Berlin.

Thanks, Roskilde & Polyesco.
It's probably a good idea to keep her visit low-key. She gets to see more that way and Bangladesh currently have problems with Islamists (who hasn't!) so it's probably also a good idea security wise.
