Yes that is true. I found a pic when they went to the zoo where Caroline looked stunning. She is very charming and i dont think that can be hided. What i dont see is an attitude on her to steel the focus on the princess, she has always remained in her place. The other dresses that she has used are quite normal and for sure not better than those used by the old lady in waiting. The difference is that Caroline is young and has a different type than Mary so she will probably will call the attention even when it is unwanted.

How often does Mary get a new lady in waiting? Who chooses Mary's lady in waiting? Who appoints Mary's lady in waiting?

It is an interesting position - I think just as much as being an assistant to Mary, her lady-in-waiting is a public servant and represents, for her part, Denmark too. Also, it puts you in a place where no "creative input" is allowed - Mary could be standing on her head, dressed from head to toe in green and yellow dots (not that she ever would!), and the poor lady-in-waiting would have to behave herself. But they look stunning together, and probably work very well.

Well I think that now we've got two beautiful women to look to. Mary still got a wonderful "class" and Caroline really seems to enjoy what she's doing. The both are really in a complete harmony. Only hope that Caroline will still remember that she's a lady-in-waiting and not the princess. But she seems to be intelligent and I'm sure she knows what to do and not to do. Hope I'll be right. But I agree with you Gudeeya, Caroline is gorgeous, even if for me, Mary's the best.

Caroline is a nice surprise for me, I was not expecting a lady in waiting with such elegant presence. Imo Carline is very charismatic and she will be a great asset to Mary's work.
I will not be surprise if Caroline becomes a new Dannish fashion icon, not in the same scale as Mary but still.

Caroline reminds me of Julianne Moore a bit, especially in this picture: http://img138.imageshack.us/my.php?image=123sl.jpg (From Polfoto, originally posted by Adry)
Thanks for finding all the pictures, Adry!

Aside from Victoria's mentor, this is one of the few times I've actually noticed one of the royal assistants. I agree that Caroline is quite pretty and stylish in a very sedate and elegant kind of way. The way she carries herself is very charming and graceful.
I always look forward to seeing Caroline, too, not to mention what she's wearing! (I especially liked this outfit.)
I think that as a friend and as someone chosen for this role, she'll know not to steal the limelight from Mary and for a lack of a better phrase, she'll "know her place" and keep the focus on Mary without comprimising who she is as an individual or her style.
I hope that she'll continue to dress as polished and as elegantly as she does while supporting Mary in her duties.

I think Caroline is beautiful too. She´s got the "X" factor. If Mary had any worries about Caroline´s charisma and looks, she wouldn´t have agreed to having her as L-i-W. So relax, those who say Caroline is not keeping a low enough profile :-)
BTW, I think Alex´s ex L-i-W (now pte secretary) is gorgeous too.
For me, it just tells me Mary and Alex are two confident women.
