Thank you Roskilde and Polyesco for the numerous photo links. Also for the collection of previous Christmas cards. Much appreciated.

Love the one of Isabella holding the flowers a real little lady, Josephine and Vincent are adorable and have changed so much over the last few months. Christian always seems to be older than he is, a delightful child.
This has to be my favourite family event.

Billed Bladet has, to put mildly, covered the Christmas concert in every detail!
You can read about it here: https://app.box.com/s/ldm8znqxfogw6w5ekgi3
Hmm, there appears to be a problem with the link in the article, but this is the song Isabella sang on the way out of the church:

(...)With the children on the floor there was more room on the bench and Isabella took advantage of that.
Because while the choir sang she leaned close to Mary, who lovingly put her arm around her daughter, while she (Bella) enjoyed the music, exchanged a few words with Christian on the other side and put a foot lovingly on the rump of Josephine down on the floor or smiled lovingly to Frederik(...)

I would definitely have loved too see a picture of that position of Bella

Here is a BB video from the Christmas concert from start to finish.
SKØN VIDEO: Kronprinsfamilien til julekoncert | Billed Bladet
At 1:20 Josephine (perhaps inspired by Bella?) appears to have had enough of the photographers.
And during the group photo outside the church Josephine appears to have become impatient because she says: "Moar = ma-a" in a rather okay-that's-enough-way.
Can't make out what Vincent said to his dad during the concert though.

Very nice! Thanks for that translation, Muhler. I've always thought Mary and Frederik seem to strike a good balance between insisting on good behaviour from the children, but not expecting them to be little robots.
I sometimes wonder what it must be like for the Heering girls, spending so much time with the royal children and seeing the way people fuss over them. It might be a hard concept to explain to school aged children who, IME, keep a very keen eye out for what's fair and what's not. :)

Oh they are beautiful children. It seems like controlled chaos but M&F seem to do it well, although like most parents, probably relieved when it is all over.
Here in Australia we have carols concerts also. Our school had one last month, our local community had an evening outdoor event (on a cricket field) recently and then churches have then as per each religion's tradition.
There is Carols in the Domain in Sydney and probably the most popular is the Christmas Eve concert at the Sidney ( as per man's name not to be confused with Sydney) Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. It is outdoors also and televised over the country and replayed again on Christmas Day at lunchtime.

The Children's Choir of the Royal Danish Academy of Music has a fantastic patroness in Crown Princess Mary. How excellent this choir sings!!

This afternoon, Crown Princess Mary, as patron of the Royal Danish Academy of Music Children's Choir, attends the choir's Christmas concert in Esajas Church.
And the Crown Prince Family have made it to a tradition the many last year that CP Frederik and all 4 children accompany mum Mary to the Christmas concert. So while we wait to see if they do it again this year, you can here enjoy a gallery of lovely pictures from the previous year's Christmas concerts
CP Mary (And CP Frederik and children) arrive in about half an hour...

And we have the first video glimpse of Frederik, Mary and all four children to the Christmas concert this evening.
Beautiful!

And a delightful BB video: SE VIDEOEN: Prinsesse Josephine var julestjernen i Esajas Kirken | BILLED-BLADET
Josephine stole the show.
At the beginning Mary was presented with flowers, but Josephine immediately seized the opportunity, saying something to Mary about flowers, Mary replying that yes, she could have them. And Josephine didn't let go, not even when removing her coat.
Vincent was seen teasing mother at some point during the event.
Someone sitting nearby told how the children hummed along to the songs and chatted a little about what they noticed.

As always a mixture of cuteness, funniness and naturalness
And isn't a pleasure to see how each and every of the four Crown Prince children (even little Vincent and Josephine) are seen giving the hosts a solid handshake with a natural smile and confident eye contact?
All 4 children grown up so fast, but Bella really has grown!
Nice video, so charming kids. Phine is a mini-Bella, and Vincent's gentle smile, aww.

Great to see the entire family attend the event with mum. The kids are adorable. Good meeting people but also natural child side. Love Josephine and the flowers.

Bente Colding-Jørgensen is the conductor of the choir and she is the one telling about the children

The flowers with Josephine was cute! Kids know what they want and she wanted that lovely bouquet. It's such a lovely event and it's nice that the kids are included.
I love this picture, Isabella looks like a young lady now.
