Quite busy these weeks Mary will this afternoon as patron present the prize to Asserbo Golf Club's junior section for their collection to the Children's Day. Here's an article about the event, where Mary among other things will play golf with Sebastian Gorski from the junior department. If it does not rain, then the organizers will change the plan.

"(...) and we have both a plan A and a plan B - with and without rain - for the weather forecast doesn't look so good right now, says club chief Arne Larsen."

We'll see

Thanks Polyesco.

I understand from Frederik, among others, that Mary is a pretty good golfplayer.

yes, this is what Frederik said about her last month at his golf related event (copied from Roskilde's post)
"She has only played very little since she came to Denmark, but I've played with her before she came to Denmark, and I must say she plays really, really well. A great swing and a great style and very stable. She was better than me then and is still."

Judging by Mary's victory dance on the first picture it also looks like she got the ball in the hole on the first attempt

Mary visited Asserbo Golf Club to award a diploma to the club's junior section which again has been the best to sell tickets in the Children's Aid 'little brother lottery'. The best seller was 12-year-old Sebastian Gorski who had the honor of receiving the diploma and also compete against Mary on a putting green. The ceremony was marked with a party for the junior players and they received many thanks for their efforts to raise money for children in care through ticket sales.

Tomorrow, Mary participates as a patron of the Children's Day a tennis event with Caroline Wozniacki.
H.K.H. Kronprinsessen deltager i Børnehjælpsdagen og eboks' tennisarrangement med Caroline Wozniacki kl. 13.00 - Kongehuset

Børnehjælpsdagen
supports foster children (0-17 years) living in an institution or in a foster family and vulnerable young people up to 22 years. The aim is to strengthen their potentials and resources and make them more prepared for adult life. Therefore settles Børnehjælpsdagen projects and activities that focus on children's skills, mental and physical robustness.

"Mary and Caroline Wozniacki sets with their participation in the event including a well-deserved attention to the 12,000 young people who are placed in care.

Since 2005, Crown Princess Mary was the patron of the Children's Day. She succeeded Queen Ingrid, who as a young Princess was patron of the organization and was for 52 years until her death. There is a strong tradition of the royal family's interest in the Children's special work. A tradition was begun by royal side back in 1904."

Judging from Mary's big scarf it's not unlikely our Crown Princess has been hit by the cold - like 70% of all other Danes these weeks. And maybe especially us young children families as F&M with children in kindergartens and schools.

I just watched a clip in tonight's news. As you know F&M are never afraid to involve them 100% during their events.
The children and Caroline Wozniacki told how much they enjoyed that Mary during the event jumped in her sneakers to play a double with Caroline and the children :

"It has been a crazy day today! I never ever thought that I would meet Caroline Wozniacki. Playing tennis with Crown Princess Mary was just a big! Wow man. I still can't understand it. This day has meant so much to me.I think it's really nice that there are some people who bother to do something for children who don't have it as easy as any other children."

- 16 years old Tobias who today got a unique sports experience on the tennis court - first in the company of the international star player Caroline Wozniacki and later with Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary.

So far we haven't get pictures of Mary and Caroline Wozniacki playing the tennis match with the children - maybe that part was without the press.

"These kids made my day!! They all unfortunately have had tough starts in life, but today they taught me more than I could teach them. I want to thank each of them for playing tennis with me today and sharing their stories and smiles! Thank you, Roskilde and Polyesco.

A little background trivia:
Børnehjælpsdagen you have probably heard of before. It's an organization helping children who have had social issue or come from home with social issues.
That's very much in line with the work done by the Mary Foundation, about including children. Because such children are especially vulnerable for exclusion. Either because of their social issues or because they simply have no one to turn to and confide in.

E-boks is the public e-mail system issued to all residents living in DK (expect for those who have explicitly requested to be exempted) where all post from public services, your bank, your employer, social services, various companies like electricity, your rent, mortgage and so on and so on is mailed to.
The purpose being to make all post between the individual citizen and the above digital. That has been implemented this year after a transition period of a few years.
The system is protected by unique codes that can only be used once.
- I don't know what you call such a system in your countries. http://www.e-boks.com/international/solutions/

However, I'm a bit surprised that such a public non-profit mail system supports such a case. Whatever, as long as someone supports it.

Yes, a personal and encrypted e-mail-box issued by the state.

It costs a fortune to send regular post nowadays and this is faster and free for all citizens.
Those who are exempted are typically older citizens who don't have a computer and don't know how to use one anyway. A couple of hundred thousand in total I believe, everybody else are required to have an E-box.

As an example: My son got his papers for appearing before the draft board last month in his E-box. (Being eighteen he is eligible for conscription.) Beforehand that was by letter.
