The CIFF is taking place this week.
We will see a good deal of Mary this week.
Her schedule Thursday and Friday will be busy:
At 11.00 Thursday Mary will vist the Bella Centre in her official capacity as a patron for CIFF.
At 13.00 Thursday she will visit Gallery in Forum, where she will meet the Danish designer, Peter Jensen, but also Liam Gallagher, who is at the fair to promote for Pretty Green. - Hopefully he'll keep his big mouth shut.
Friday at 14.00 she will go to Øksnehallen where she among other things will present the Designers Nest award.
- If I remember correctly fashion is now the source of Denmarks fourth largest income, so we are talking big money!

There was an interesting meeting after the fashion shows: Mary met with
musician Liam Gallagher who has introduced his "Pretty Green" clothing
line at the trade fair. Prior to the meeting he had planned to congratulate
her on the twins and make her a special offer "She can get 50% discount".
He expressed that he didn't like the British royals, but thought CP Mary
was beautiful. After the meeting he said he wasn't convinced that Mary
liked his fashion and Mary said it's been "a great experience" to meet him,
but as to the clothes: "I do not think it was particularly rock 'n roll"
The first pic of the msndk article, the quotes are from, shows it all

Interesting person to meet at a fashion event.

Yes, a few of them look better. But ours do a lot more public events, so we get more value for our £money. And their queen needs to get her nicotine stained teeth cleaned! Our queen's teeth are fine!

Well be fair, their are less of the DRF than our royal family. The BRF stands at 14, the DRF stands at 9.
The Danes see their royals just as often as we see ours, just like atm, the pregnant Crown Princess of Denmark is doing engagement when she could be on holiday, like all of our royal family are.
IMO The Danes get a lot more for their money than we do, especially at the moment when we have an ex wife causing havock for the millionth time.
But anyway off topic.

That really is a fact Jemima, the BRF are an industrious bunch, 12 of them covering a population of 60+ million, as opposed to 9 in Denmark, with a population of just 5½ million!

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #33, 2010.
Mary så på tvillingetøj - Mary looked at clothes for twins.
Written by Mr. Ulrik Ulriksen.
There is a good deal of coverage of Mary in this weeks issue, but in regards to the navy review there is nothing we don't already know.
Anyway, Mary went to the Bella Centre and Forum in connection with CIFF.
First at the Bella Centre, where she was met with a lot of children shouting congratulations. Prompting a rsponse from Mary: "Oh, what a surprise.. you are so sweet. Thank you very, very much".
Then she was taken on a tour of the centre and she watched a fashion show with children, before visiting the Wheat stand. The Wheat brand is also used in connection with the Stop Bullying Campaign, in which Mary is engaged.
Mary also met the designer Minna Speerschneider Larsen, from Poppy Rise, which specialise in baby clothing and Mary was natually presented to some samples, leading to an outburst: "How cool". (*)
Among the items presented were a baby dress size: six months and a vest for boys, size: six months.
Then it was off to Forum, where Mary watched a show by the designer Peter Jensen, she also met a.. rock musician... Liam Gallagher.
Mary was observed and photographed resting her hands on her belly.
Mary was also to present the prize Designers Nest Award and that took place in Øksnehallen.
The winner Satu Maraanen from Finland, but it appears that Mary stole most of the attention with her outfit.
Among those Mary met here was the Dansh rock-mama, Sanne Salomonsen (her with the tattoo on the her arm), she is a close aquintance of Mary and Sanne said: "Hi Mary and congratulations. How good you (**) look! We'll be seeing each other soon, then we must chat a little more".
They know each other from the Hearts Association. Sanne Salomonsen came close to dying from a heart failure.
(*) Directly translated Mary actually said "delicious" but imagine yourself drooling over and fondling a blouse and substitute "delicious" with a similar expression in your language.
(**) Using informal you.

Now, I don't pretend to know a lot about fashion but I know what I like and Mary strikes me as being pretty stylish. In my eyes Mary's dresses, robes and what not are her "work clothes" as it is her job to represent her country and preferably looking good doing it. - I'd say she has accomplished that pretty well.

I've moved this remark from accent thread to fashion thread. Although Mary is patron of Danish Fashion so to say, I wonder why she misses out on promoting danish fashion on high profile events like the Monaco wedding where Mary turned up in a Prada dress.
I wont say she has to dress danish only but I feel compared to earlier years Mary very often choses international labels at cost of danish designs that would get priceless promotion at events the world media is watching.
