In the BB video we can hear Mary in the beginning saying to the journalist: 'Uhh it's so cold today'. And the journalist laughingly agrees.
Today has been a beautiful but very cold day. Our first day with minus degrees and snow this autumn/winter 
Great to see Mary today. Always so smiling and warm.
This is the last official event for Mary before she and Frederik seems to have the next 7 days free from official events - probably on the occasion of their copper wedding.

Could be they have something planned but the official calendar is updated again tomorrow.

Yes, the first few days of frost are always the worst.  Then it's nothing.
And every single year, cars skid off the roads on the first day with snow.

CP Mary has two official events today, but both without press access. The last one with out a doubt for protect the young cancer patients for the media fuss:

That was the message when we this afternoon collected all our partners for this year's Christmas reception and wished a happy Christmas. In The Mary Foundation is our work based on partnerships where we bring together different cultures, skills and experience for a common goal. It is our experience that we together can do it better, and we would like to thank everyone who has helped in the struggle for unity and against bullying, loneliness and domestic violence in the past year. We look forward to continue fighting in 2017.

Yes I have always thought it was a great idea for Mary to hold a Christmas party for her patronages. A great way for all to get to know each other better and feel appreciated.

It's a fabulous idea to host thus party. Her foundation does great work and it takes a lot if people and team work. Great way to honor the work but also just have a good time and celebrate a great year.

Mary has spoken to Ekstra Bladet and talked about loneliness (*), including the sense of loneliness she herself sometimes felt when she first moved to DK and encountered a new language, new culture, new people.
Apart from that she says: "Loneliness is a big and often overlooked problem. We have only within recent years been aware of how longterm loneliness can affect our health both physically and mentally. We also know that most of us have difficulties speaking openly about loneliness and that it is often connected to a feeling of shame. but if we don't talk about loneliness, then there is a risk for it to become worse. It's important that we talk about loneliness and put focus on loneliness - in order to break the taboo and support the many who experience the longterm and harmful loneliness".
It's not just up to those who are lonely to deal with is, the surroundings also needs to take an active role.
"There are no easy solutions, but we can all do a little bit to reduce loneliness by meeting people with openness and positive expectations and by showing interest for those, who perhaps not least reminds us of ourselves".
(*) That topic was also on the TV2 main news today, so it may seem that it makes a difference when she opens her mouth.

The Mary Foundation's annual donation, on a quarter million Danish kroner, will this year help the Syrian children and refugees:
This year, they decided that it should go to the 14.5 million children, women and men who are on the run from Syria and Iraq because of the recent years of wars in the two countries. The vast majority seeking refuge in the neighboring areas. The Mary Foundation's annual donation of 250,000 Danish Kroner go in 2016 for the Danish Refugee Council's long-term efforts to support the many refugees.

Today, Crown Princess Mary participates in launching "AntiBulli" with the Mary Foundation and Mikkel Hansen.
Anti Bulli is a new project that aims to strengthen children's well-being in the Danish handball clubs. Behind the project is the Mary Foundation and MH24 - Mikkel Against Bullying Association.
Mikkel Hansen is a very high profile Danish Handball champion. He has his own association - MH24 - which has been collaberating with the Mary Foundation in this new antibullying project, Anti Bulli, which is a tool that makes it easy for handball coaches to strengthen the sense of community and prevent bullying in children's handball.
