Thanks and sorry that I didn't get what you meant.
Yes, that's the way visits like this usually go.

TVFyens gallery has been updated with pictures from Mary's visit at the Crisis Center. Mary had two visits today: First at the Mothers Help House and later at the Crisis Center.

I also love Mary's reaction, a laugh and a funny comment and walking to the door herself She's definitely Frederik's wife.
We are told by the woman in the video that Mary came before time and therefore the welcome committee didn't reach out to her in time. Oops.

I think it's pertinent to mention that:
These visits show why I think we are so lucky with Mary as Crown Princess. The two places she visited today, Mothers Help and Odense Crisis Center are using the Mary Foundation's project "Advice for Life," which give Danish battered women free economic, legal and social counseling. Mary visited them for hearing about the Mary Foundation's project in practice.
The women who you can see Mary meeting in the pictures are all women who receive help through Mary's "Advice for Life".
We have a Crown Princess whose work, ideas and initiatives reach out and help the ordinar Danes.
This year, 63 Danish battered women received help in Odense town - nationwide thousands of Danish women receive help through the Mary Foundation "Advice for Life" yearly.

After the visit were Mary pleased to have seen the concrete results of the Mary Foundation's work.
- I'm very impressed with the women who tell about their situation. They help to break down the taboo on domestic violence. It's something we have to articulate. We must break the silence, says the Crown Princess.
- I'm glad to hear that the work we does did what we hoped for.
Mary says more, but I haven't time to write a translation as our dinner is ready.

 Thank Muhler.
Notice the information: That Mary stayed for 45 minutes longer than was planned... That is typically Mary, and tells a lot about Mary's genuine commitment, doesn't it?
I saw this comment and yes, sometimes the press' prioritizing is embarrassing:
"How pitiful that the media brings lots of pictures from Queen's gala today and so we don't see our fantastic Crown Princess's work today at Odense shelter with such a seriously and taboo subject as battered women. Fortunately, the Mary Foundation fights for them. Especially the part where the psychological terror municipality expose our children and families. Thank you for your great work and your fantastic effort Dear Crown Princess <3 "

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #12, 2016.
Written by Marianne Singer.
Recently Mary went to Odense to visit partners who co-operate with and who utilize Affording Life, which is a project under the Mary Foundation, aiming to provide economic assistance and help to women who after a time with abuse wish to start a new life on their own. (*)
Here she visited a crisis center and a center under Mødrehjælpen - Help to Mothers, which aims at helping women with children who have social issues of various kinds.
One of the women Mary met was Katrine Khadijeh Farzin Wirenfeldt, who expressed her feelings in a poem she read to Mary.
Afterwards Mary leaned over the table and took Katrine's hand: "That was a very beautiful poem. Very touching. Very honest and as she said herself, it's very important to put words on the feelings she has, because it helps her to move on".
Mary stayed for a couple of hours at the center under Mødrehjælpen (**), some 45 minutes more then scheduled, talking to those who come at the centers and the volunteers who work there and afterwards she said: "I'm very impressed with all the women who are willing to step forward and tell about the difficult situation they are in and have been in. It's enormously strong and courageous to stand forward and for that I'd like to thank them. It helps break down the taboo about domestic violence".
(*) Women who in most cases have had their self-confidence beaten out of them for years or who come from another country, don't know the language and haven't got the faintest idea about how to open a bank-account handle bills, let alone establishing a new home, with all that entails. Immigrant women constitute IIRC some 60 % of the women in crisis centers.
For these women the prospect of fending on their own is even more frightening than the daily abuse.
(**) No press at the crisis center I guess, which is understandable.

Well, it's DM
But it is extremely rare that our royals arrive to an event and the welcome Committee are missing and they must walk to the door alone... But as we can hear in the video Mary arrived in good time and Mary's reaction was just (what she is so beloved for) down to earth and with smiles and a funny comment: "There You become surprised, eh?" when the organizers opened the door and she already was standing there
That's such a thing I'm convinced Mary (and Frederik) couldn't care less about.
So no harm done. Mary stayed, by the way, also 45 minutes longer at the event than planned.

#IDeliver social media campaign leading to the WomenDeliver global conference in May 16-19 2016 in Copenhagen.
Mary is patron for the conference. And one of the major forces behind the world's largest women's conference are going to be held in Denmark according to our former Minister for Development who Mary worked very closely with.
Mary appears at 1:20 in the video: "What do you deliver for girls and women?"
Hvad leverer du

A thing to notice:
Billed Bladet informs us that it is our always dedicated Mary who is the woman behind the slogan "I Deliver" which the conference is called. Mary got the idea to the slogan during a working meeting with the committee.

Of course no harm done, except perhaps to the organizers themselves as such things are so meticulously planned that any glitches are, as you say, highly unusual. For this reason (and I recall one of the British princes saying so), the 'royals' love it when something goes wrong!

Success with the Mary Foundation's work:
New figures show that Mary's "Free For Bullying" are now integrated in more than half of all Danish kindergartens and 40% of Denmark's schools (1st-3rd grade) is now working with the Mary Foundation's and Save the Children's "Free of Bullying."
This corresponds to an increase of 130% since 2011 for kindergartens and more than 210% of schools/leisure clubs.

The Mary Foundation has posted yet another touching postcard send to Mary from one of the battered children (or children of an abused mother):
"It's like you are all alone in the world."
We ( the Mary Foundation) have got another touching postcard from one of the approximately 2,000 Damish children who each year move to a shelter with their mother. The Mary Foundation provides the children with a backpack including a toothbrush, a teddy bear, sleepwear and a greeting from Crown Princess Mary. Through the backpacks we tell children that they are seen and heard, and that violence is never okay.
Picture and text:
(Dear Mary. I love you. For you are sweet and thinking of others like me. It feels like I'm all alone in the world. With greeeting ........ 9 years)

 Thanks, Roskilde.
Very sweet, complete with misspellings, so it can hardly be more authentic.

Here is a very good report from Politiken: 23-årige Daniel til fællesspisning: Jeg fortalte kronprinsesse Mary, at jeg er ensom - Politiken.dk
Here focusing on 23 year Daniel Evensen, who is a student with his own apartment and clearly a very shy man.
There were in total around 500 present for the communal dinner, people, who are lonely as well as volunteers, cooks, ushers and (I think) volunteer co-diners.
It came as a total surprise that Mary showed up. - So did a Copenhagener magistrate and the manager behind the communal dining.
It a long time before Daniel gathered enough courage and went to this communal dinner and now he dines with Nina, whom he met when he entered a counseling center she was manager for. And she is now his contact-person and accompanies him to the dinners.
"To me it's really outside the boundaries to eat with other people, because it's very intimate, I think. But I like like it is tonight, where we are are a lot, because then you don't have to talk with one particular person in a very serious manner. You can simply be here and enjoy it without talking to someone".
About Mary surprising everyone by being there, except the organizers because a flower-girl was mobilized:
"It's totally unreal. That I'm here and she's there. It's very overwhelming. Why, she's sitting right there".
Actually only a table away from Daniel.
Then Mary is going on stage to say something, but as usual the microphone is jinxed. Someone is trying to fix it, not working. What to do? Mary raises her hand holding an imaginary glass and toast those who have gathered.
Now the mike is working!
"Now it succeeded. The good meal consists of two things: The food and the company. When we share a meal, we share a moment and togetherness. We offer some togetherness/presence for each other. Right now 2.000 (probably nation-wide) have sat down at the table. That's impressive.
In my own family the meal is also bonding/gathering. It's an occasion to tell and to listen and when Vincent shouts quiet-game Frederik and I can just manage to exchange a couple of words, but no more, because it seldom lasts very long".
Two girls walk up to Mary and chat with her. How about you, Daniel?
"I wouldn't dare", he says.
Urged on by Nina, Daniel gathers enough courage to go over to Mary. (See first picture, with Daniel, Mary and Nina.
Afterwards:
"It's the greatest experience I've ever had. She was really sweet. She asked why we were here and and I told that I'm pretty lonely.
I can live a long time from this evening. A really long time".
