The Crown Prince family has visited the municipality of Runavík where they visited the Faroe Islands largest salmon farming business. Then the children held pause from the official visit while the Crown Prince couple visited the Faroese village Hvalvík and took a sail trip out to the highest waterfalls on the Faroe Islands and visiting two other villages.

In the evening, the children attended the evening reception at Dannebrog.
Yesterday's last visit participated the Crown Prince and Prince Christian in when they handed over trophies at the football tournament.

Today is the last day of the Crown Prince family in the Faroe Islands.

Josephine is very happy for mothers flowers:

This is the Josephine that we all know, happy with bright smiling eyes, I don't think she was well the first couple of days.
I love the video of the family dancing, they all are so involved in all they do, the children just take all in their stride. It has been a pleasure following the family over the last few days, the love just shines from them and then add the scenery wonderful visit.

A BT article with details about the children and with an explanation why Josephine was not on one of the group photos:
https://www.bt.dk/royale/frederik-og...cielle-billede

Frederik: "It's a party traveling with the children, it's great to have your children with you and both share and experience with them and through them.
They don't say/tell that much, but the way the act is in itself an indication to us that they are really well, the see new things and experience new places."

F: "Yesterday (Friday) it was good to see that they went up the hills with their mother and father and they were first at the top."
Mary: "There was only one whose legs tired a little under way." - Hence why Josephine was not in the group photo.

The family looked at salmons at the largest salmon plant on the islands.
F: "They are home from school for a couple of days, but in reality they learn a lot by being here."

Christian has had a noticeable larger role than the other children it has been noted.
M: "He is after all a little bit older, so his curiosity grows and he is developing, and he knows more and has a big interest in seeing inventions."

It has been noticed that Josephine for periods has seemed a little under the weather.
M: "There was something about the clothes one of the days and she was a little tired."
F: "They do help each other, the older help the younger and it's fun to see how it's both from boy to boy, but also from older sister to younger brother."

ADDED: Biri. - I think it's most likely they will start in school again tomorrow. They should be home during the afternoon.

I want to thank who ever came up with the idea of switching hairstyles everyday.

All the girls wear their hair differently everyday and that's how I can differentiate the photos since they wear the same outfits at the beginning of each day.

Mary: chignon -> half up half down -> ponytail -> loose hair
Isabella: cap -> side braids -> fancy ponytail -> half up half down
Josephine: cap -> fancy ponytail -> side braids -> half up half down

Interesting that they have been wearing the traditional outfits every day. IIRC, during official visits in Greenland they have worn them only one day.

They wore them on two separate days during the eight-day trip to Greenland.

The outfits are presents from four municipalities, and I think it's natural the locals would like to see the children wearing their presents while visiting the individual municipalities.

It's a bit different with Greenland. The male outfit is national and the female outfits worn by Isabella and Josephine are as far as I understand for unmarried girls from east and west Greenland. Mary is that of a married woman. So there is more room for wearing different clothing - or less risk of causing a miff if you prefer...

.
Four municipalities, right, forgot about them. Makes sense.

It's actually possible to get the gist of what the article says!

Not to be persnickety but their Greenlandic costumes are from the different regions as well – and were gifts from four different municipalities too Christian's costume is from West Greenland, Bella's is from East Greenland, and Vincent and Josephine's costumes are both from Thule region (which I think is very neat since they're twins). But yes, I agree. And to add to that, I seem to recall that it was a bit tough for especially little Vincent having to wear his big polar bear trousers. Now that they're older, it's a bit easier to have the kids wear their costumes for a prolonged period of time.

And after the church service the Crown Prince Couple take part in a luncheon at the old warehouse in the village Bour, where bishop Jógvan Fríðriksson is the host.

And that is the last event for this visit.

I stand corrected, Archduchess Zelia.

If this is an indication of the future, I'd say this looked like a dress rehearsal for especially Christian.
School permitting I think we are going to see him a great deal more, accompanying especially his dad in the future. And sooner than I personally expected.
He'll soon learn that listening to endless speeches is fun and so is looking at windmills.
And that will mean that Christian, especially considering how confident he is, will get tasks himself. That is cutting ribbons, giving short speeches and not least saying thanks for having a bridge, ferry, train named after him. For the first few years in the company of his parents, but otherwise with him taking center-stage.
And in a couple of years Isabella will start the same drill, presumably mainly with her mother. - I know, know gender-equality and gender-patterns and all that, but at least for a foreseeable future female royals are no matter what destined to absolutely love kindergartens.
Because I think Isabella is destined to remain a working royal. Partly as backup and partly "just in case..."

I also think it will be realistic to expect M&F to take one of the two yearly summer cruises in DK. And that means their children, or some of them, will accompany them.
The children have impressed me a lot on this tour!
Christian especially. He has actually looked like it did interest him. And he has been out there shaking hands with the public, without needing a hand in his back pushing him. He seems to have good people-skills and that's crucial for a royal in his position.
Isabella has also impressed. She may not have been as outgoing as her brother but in her quiet way she has tagged along - without looking bored or pulling faces or doing anything else that could be seem as silly.
Vincent. Well, he just needs to stand there looking cherubic! According to my mother in law, that's enough for her to melt - that is when she isn't ready to just eat him!
Josephine, our showgirl. A bit under the weather and perhaps not that keen on all this royal tour thing. But still very well behaved, apart from the occasional yawning, which is minor detail that can and will be addressed I'm sure. - Perhaps they should bring her cousin Athena along for company on their next tour like this to Greenland or Australia?
- Because this IMO was very much a practice run for their next goodwill trip to Australia as well.

I'm sure the children will have lots of fun anecdotes to report back to their school friends from the trip!
I love the way Isabella's hair has been styled today. Her bun is gorgeous.

The parish church looks so idyllic and I can't get over how grown up Princesses Isabella and Josephine are getting.

This trip has been wonderful! All 6 have done a great job, the kids learning. I was very impressed by all 4, even tired/under the weather Josephine. Vincent really open up and Christian a superb job done.

Love that they did the traditional dance, not only Frederik and Mary, but the kids too on the Dannebrog. The picture with all 6 right next to the portrait of King Frederik is one I think the Queen will hold dear.

This picture is beautiful,

Thanks Eya. Nice to have the pleasure to see Crown Princess Mary's own moment-pictures from the family's trip.

Here is the link
https://www.facebook.com/detdanskeko...LaoU&__tn__=-R

The Royal Court writes: "From special moments on Kongeskibet Dannebrog to the meeting with the magnificent Faroese nature. Here we brings a series of H.R.H. the Crown Princess's snapshots from the family's journey to the Faroe Islands."

The video clip of Christian teasing his mother, wanting to give her a hug with the salmon soaked gloves, is priceless. Thanks Polyesco

A photo summary from BT: https://www.bt.dk/royale/frederik-og...ryddes-lidt-op

And with a story about how the locals in the individual hamlets have been busy clearing up, donning a new coat of paint and have new asphalt laid out.
That's the great thing about royal visits, things are suddenly repaired and shined up by the municipalities.
