I'm pleased to see Frederik continuing to promote causes that deal with sustainability and the environment. This seems like a good tie-in with the earlier event with Victoria of Sweden and Haakon of Norway.

Crown Prince Frederik as Patron of the Royal Awards for Sustainability
Prince Frederik handed out the Climate Cup prize at the Nordic Climate Solutions Conference at the Bella Center on Wed. Sep. 9. 2009. The Prize is handed out in co-operation of the Climate Cup and Royal Awards for Sustainability. The award was won by Stirling DK.

What a strange patronage! I thought that there was protocols for deciding what patronages are taken on. Some might see wrestling as distasteful......

Why should a wrestling patronage be seen as strange?
No one objects to a royal patronage for e.g. a swimming union.

Prince Frederik of Denmark has acepted to be the patron of the General Assembly 2010.
It will take place in Nuuk, Greenland sometime in the summer of 2010.
The assembly takes place every 4-years
