Thanks, Polyesco.
The stand-up'er Jan Gintberg makes fun of Frederik's less than competent way of cutting ribbons.
"Let's give His Royal Highness a simple task. Give him a pair of scissors and cut a ribbon. - But sorry, You can't even work that out!"
(It comes across differently in Danish.) Jan Gintberg is good at making fun of people in an inoffensive way. Something not all comedians are good at.

Thanks Polyesco. Looks like Frederik’s shoulder already are better, no sling yesterday. A good sign.

We will see much more of Frederik in this respect.
The government, backed by a majority in the Parliament will shortly launch new initiatives in regards to alternative and CO2 neutral energy.
There is serious money, export and employment in this.
That includes a world-first: Building two energy-islands, in the Baltic and the North Sea.
Offshore windmill parks have become routine. This is the next step.
Read here in English: https://www.offshorewind.biz/2020/05...e-action-plan/
Frederik will be heavily involved in this in the future, both in regards to the establishment of these islands and in export and know-how.

I totally agree with Frederik. The economic recovery from Corona ought indeed by based on ecologically sound premises.
- There is good money in that and a lot of export.

I don't! Eco is just a buzz word! For example the Danish shipping line Maersk, the largest in the world, I think: If everything must be eco, they must close down, since they hinder locally produced, eco competition, by shipping Asian goods to Europeland. And they do so with their fossil fuel burning ships!... And ships burn fuel by the tons!
And this would be crazy!
My new sneakers from an international outfit were produced in Indonesia! And they were expensive enough!
Has the Prince even studied Economics? Especially Danish Economics? Or is he just repeating the Zeitgeist and the main articles of the press?

Oh, it's very much a buzz-word.
Still no need not to earn money on it, and get in the forefront.
Eco sell!
Whether it's eco-eggs, eco-milk or environmentally sound modes of transportation.
That's what the consumers want, that's the future.
We also live in a global market-economy and the nice guys don't live long in that world.
So if one of the world's largest logistics companies wants to go eco while maintaining their position, they are going to elbow their competitors in the face while doing it.
- Is it fair? No.

Your post has inspired me, to buy some of the "Eco" Cider at IKEA 2 hours ago:"Ekologisk Cider Päron" - delicious!
But I have still, after a few cans, the opinion, that the Prince should chose a sub-thematic in the wide field of ecologism. Perhaps marine-life? He was a (military) diver after all. Otherwise, with this (all should be more eco), what he said, he sounds a bit like Marie Antoinette in Petit Trianon and her "Let them eat cake!"...
Plus: I am capitalistic enough, to prefer, that the market picks the winner and not the state or a Royal.

Thanks for the update! And "yes", Frederik is more in tune with the "Zeitgeist".
I have no problem at all with organic food, quite the opposite. But this: we live on One World and all humanity must unite as one against man made global warming - this is politics!...
And as a royal watcher I know, that political thematics have a boom and bust cycle... And Royals either have real political power or better avoid to get dragged into day-to-day politics.

Frederik is almost word for word advocating what the government's supporting parties are saying right now. That recovering after Corona ought (must) to be based on a green approach.
The government and the opposition is a little hesitant though, because right now they believe focus should be on recovering economically regardless. A green approach, although desirable, does no longer have top priority.

About climate changes being man-made.
There are many from the Queen's generation who do not take the climate seriously - they will not live on earth for so many years longer, so why care?
Fortunately, we younger people think differently.
The DRF lives in many old large castles, but the Crown Prince couple has worked for several years to make their palace more climate friendly, and we learned in an interview that Crown Princess Mary is working on phasing out all plastic bottles from Frederik d. 8's palace.
But you know, this is not something the press is to happy to write about. It does not sell as good as negative articles.
