Agree. Plus a great concept of the Arctic countries coming together
The host are certainly happy for his support
"Crown Prince Frederik has agreed to be patron of the Arctic Winter Games. His Royal Highness adds international appeal and experience to the event
Mayor Asii Chemnitz Narup (IA), is thrilled that Crown Prince Frederik is the patron of the big event in her municipality:
- It is huge, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince has agreed to be patron of the Arctic Winter Games in 2016 in Nuuk. This underlines and reinforces the close ties between Denmark and Greenland and shows Crown Prince's great love and strong attachment to Greenland."

BB writes that Frederik is not expected to take an active part in the games:

He will be a spectator and hand out medals.
- Haven't looked at the calendar. I wonder if Mary and/or some of his children will join him for a couple of days? They will appreciate that in Greenland.

 That would be fantastic
Im sure Greenland would be very happy to have the CP family back, as they are very excited for Frederik.
The games take place from March 6 to 11, not sure if its a spring holiday for Danish children?

an article about the Anders Lassen event
Kronprins Frederik i sejt selskab til legatfest | BILLED-BLADET
"Anders Lassen Foundation also distributed four scholarships to soldiers accident Battalion of the Regiment, which in 2014 was deployed to Afghanistan. During an offensive in 2014 in Afghanistan, showed the four scholarship recipients resourcefulness and initiative that the Foundation has chosen to appreciate.
Crown Prince Fredertik laid at the ceremony not not hide the fact that he was impressed by the scholarship recipients' bravery. Their efforts during the attack were subsequently praised by an American major general. He explained that efforts had saved a lot of people that day, though the attack killed an American major general life."

Thanks, Polyesco.
So they finally got the snow they needed. - But couldn't the weather gods deliver the snow spread out over a period, rather than all of it at the same time?!?

Guess Pingo may have to do without his family a day or two extra.

Kronprins Frederik strandet i Grønland på grund af snestorm | BILLED-BLADET
BB has a few details.
According to this article, Frederik (and presumably Mary as well) touched down in Denmark early Friday morning after having returned from Qatar.
He left for Greenland onboard a Hercules transport later Friday. (Presumably including a pit-stop on Iceland).

Thanks, Roskilde.
Frederik knows Kim Nielsen very well. IIRC from his time at the Sirius Expedition. He is also mentioned somewhere in the thread about M&F and children visiting Greenland.

Yes, IIRC it was Kim Nielsen who during the CP-family's family summer cruise in Greenland had Christian with him out on his first hunt, and also Kim who had a private afternoon with Christian and Isabella, where they drove on AVG'ere and visited horses.
Official programme:
Frederik has many things on his programme (which the Court hasn't bothered to inform about... I simply don't get why!)
