The foreign guests are arriving now.

Queen Silvia with the Connaught ruby tiara (?)

CP Victoria with the Baden fringe.

Queen Mathilde with the Brabant laurel wreath and Queen Fabiola's waterfall diamond brooch.

Queen Maxima wearing the diamond bandeau.

GD Maria Teresa looks like she might be wearing the Chaumet choker tiara with pearls (?)

Sorry, I missed CP Mette-Marit.

Prince Nikolai looking dashing in the "penguin" suit

Not liking Princess Marie's dress at all. Looks cheap and tacky :/

Christian Eugen Olsen doesn't know why QMII arrived early, only that it would have been her decision for whatever reason.

M&F have arrived at Christiansborg.

And no rain. Hurrah!

------------------

Now it's time to say hi to all the guests including the royals.
And according to the protocol, ordinary guests just go into the hall.
Then foreign royals go in and finally the DRF.

Well, he looks like one. Aging like a fine wine, he is.

So sweet that mother came down to greet her son and daughter-in-law!

Beautiful dress on Mary. It's cutting/style reminds me of the blue one she wore at Prince Joachim and Marie's wedding back in 2008

Well, Daniel is a Prince of Sweden since 8 years now. MM didn´t have this highest of danish orders in 2009, after 8 years of being married to the CPrince. She is the CPss of Norway for 17 years by now!

Was it just me or had Princess Benedikte a slight problem with walking?

The Queen went to receive the Crown Princes in the corridor and arrived earlier.
Great birthday party for Prince Frederik. King's party!

Sadly, the Billed Bladed stream has stopped. Are there already pictures available somewhere?

M&F and QMII are now greeting the guests.

The first are members of the court, including the Ladies-in-waiting. They are "uniformed", partly of practical reasons, partly because it's practical and partly because it would cost a fortune if they were to be issued new gala dresses several times a year.
