Modern art, that should delight Frederik.
Just a little complaint though, and it's not directed at Frederik, the knocking-elbows-together greeting is so idiotic! Can't we get rid of it?
Nod instead or do like the Arabs, put your hand over your heart.

Yes, a minor government reshuffle. Two new ministers.

The current climate changes have resulted in the tuna-fish to appear in Danish waters.
That's only the latest in a number of animals who have migrated into Denmark in recent years.
Of course that means other animals have left.

Indeed, Izzie.
This even was hosted by Danish Commerce, who used this opportunity to pad themselves on their backs. - That's pretty much the entire purpose of award ceremonies...
Frederik has for years been deeply involved in promoting Danish commerce, not least abroad, so he know many of those present, some very well.
Brian Mikkelsen, former Minister for Culture and now head of the very influential Danish Industry, is a person with whom Frederik has had a long and often professional co-operation with.
In contrast to say the BRF, the DRF has a long tradition for lending support to Danish national economic interests, predominantly the export.
That however includes the film-director Thomas Vinterberg, who belongs to the large cultural circle of friends around M&F. Not necessarily close friends, but people they associate with both professionally and privately and certainly have known for years. Both Mary and Frederik are quietly deeply involved in culture. Frederik no doubt from personal interest. His interest, passion actually, in art and music is very well known.

Thanks for the information Muhler! Of course, that is why you hold the award with just one hand, to keep the other hand free for all the back clapping...lol.
I have been going through looking at the visits he and Mary have made over the years and they seem to do a great job at showing Denmark and their industry/business to the countries they visit.
From the photos I have seen of today's event, he looked in great spirits!

Frederik usually take care of windmill farms.
This farm can supply 600.000 households with electricity. There are some two million households in DK, so you do the math.
The aim is to ensure that DK is fully supplied with alternative carbon neutral energy by 2050.
At present we have windmills enough to supply all households in DK with energy, also on calm days, because there has to be a considerable surplus production, due to it not being possible - yet - to store energy in vast amounts. Energy is also lost being transported over considerable distances and so on, and so on.
But at least as many windmills as we have at present are needed to cover the energy need of all other functions in the society, from streetlamps, to hospitals to factories.
And at least as many windmills are required to cover the future need of energy in regards to transport. - Electric trains, cars, ships, planes etc.
China has build and tested 300+ meter high windmills and that must be considered the limit of what is practical to build.
They are expensive, the size no longer justify the output, they are costly to produce, transport and not least set up and they only last for about 12 years.
So mills the size of 200+ meter high are what must considered practical - and that's the size that are being build build and projected in DK now.
Investment-wise it's a hugely expensive building these parks!
That however is covered many times over by export and know how.
A side bonus of the windmill parks is that fish, birds, seals and clams settle down around the foundations of the mills. The same phenomenon seen at the pylons of the many bridges here in DK. - It's a good place to live if you have gills.

TV2, which cannot be viewed outside Scandinavia, will cover Royal Run all day from 10.10.
However, I'm more than certain that Billed Bladet and the tabloid BT will have a live coverage as well, with videos and occasional live transmissions, so there should be plenty for our newsdiggers to look for.
DR1 will no doubt also post videos and pics through the day as a part of the general news.
