That was when he came to some of his fellow students in the 1990s, who shared a large apartment in some of the blocks not far from the new Sports and Culture Campus.
- We had lots of good times there, so I think it's great to be here. I have followed the area out of the corner of my eye over the years, so it was my own wish to be present today, and I am very happy to have had the opportunity to do so, said Crown Prince Frederik."

Unannounced event for Frederik today, January 26th
https://via.ritzau.dk/pressemeddelel...aseId=13641309
"On Wednesday, the Crown Prince met some of the evacuated Afghans, who will soon be moving out into Danish society, where volunteers from the Red Cross are ready to receive them.
It was the first time the Crown Prince heard about the evacuation from the Afghans, and their stories made a big impression"

That's a remarkable story.
Ejnar Mikkelsen with his crew mate was isolated in Greenland for two years.
As you can tell from these photos after their rescue, they were a little stir crazy: https://www.gyldendal.dk/-/media/sta...ort.png?w=1366
But it was quite normal for the Danish and Norwegian fur-hunters living in North East Greenland to be isolated for a couple of years, because some years the annual supply ship couldn't get through the ice.

I watched the trailer for the film and it looks really good. Will definitely catch it on Netflix.

I think it's worth watching.
It was actually QMII who gave the director the idea for making the movie.
https://www.bt.dk/kendte/dronningen-...y-netflix-film
Back in 2009 QMII worked with the director, Peter Flinth, on the animated movie, The Wild Swans.
And during a conversation she directed his attention to the book, this movie is based on, and suggested it would make a good movie.

The book, by Ejnar Mikkelsen, was written in 1955.
I wonder if these books were ever published outside DK?

The Crown Prince on climate sightseeing in Odense: - Denmark has put itself in the driver's jersey.
https://fyens.dk/artikel/se-video-kr...rertr%C3%B8jen
Denmark is a small country, but how do you see Denmark's role in the green transition from what you have seen in Odense today?
- We have more or less put ourselves in the driver's jersey in order to develop (technologies, ed .) And in quite a few years to be able to scale. What we see today is still growing, and they are doing a lot of research into how to make a profit out of making a green transition.

DK is indeed in the lead in regards to transition to green technology and sustainable energy that is independent of - shall we say - unfortunate suppliers.
The biggest problem is in fact the infrastructure. In particular power-cables.
A number of power-cables are not designed to transport energy from these new energy sources, not least the off-shore windmill farms. They require cables that are heavy.
In a number of rural areas of DK, in particular west Jutland and south of Copenhagen, the power cables are still suspended from wooden poles. They can't carry the heavier cables. So they will have to be replaced with steel towers, and that has met with considerable opposition so far, because unless you are a bird, no one likes cable-towers.
But considering the circumstances I guess people will reluctantly accept the cable-towers. But it will take some time to put them up - and at present rate that can't be done before 2026.
The cables can of course be dug down, and in many places they have indeed been dug down, but that's pretty expensive.
