Crown Prince Frederik at the World Masters Games in Sydney: October 11-16, 2009

I don't know if this news has been posted before but the whole family will go to Australia next october. Frederik will participate at the Sydney world masters games.

We don't know at that time if it will be a private holiday or a mixed visi with some official acts.

The article says that Princess Mary will not travel with him to Sydney, even though she is from Australia. She will stay behind in Denmark.

Has Mary arrived? Her schedual looks pretty clear for a few days. Hopefully she will get a break, she has been so busy!!

He was accepted in to the IOC but this has nothing to do with the Olympics. Frederik is participating in the race.

Bad news for Fred - his team's boat was one of several which capsized today before any races began due to strong winds. The races were later postponed, for the second time.

They were talking about Frederik on the Close Up program last night here in NZ. Or more particularly, they were talking about a swimmer at the Games, she is in her nineties, and wanted to meet Frederik when she got her medals, but they couldn't pull the strings to make it work, so the reporter gave her an Australian newspaper with a picture of Frederik as a joke!

I haven't checked out the video to see it shows the whole clip, but here is the link.
