I too thought this ISAF thing was a serious concern...but sailing???
Anyway from reading the DRW article one good thing has come out of it...the next sailing meet will be held in Perth, Australia in 2011...hopefully a pregnant Mary and the THREE kids* will accompany Frederik and pop over to the east coast (of Australia) for a business/pleasure trip
*I want Mary to have her third kid in January 2009 and no.4 will be due in July 2011...do you think she will listen to me? Christian will be 6, Isabella will be 4, No.3 will be 2 and No.4 will be due in 2011...

OT - but Princess Anne looks fabulous. What a fit woman, and what a great figure. And what a great colour that dress is!

According to Lux Magazine, Prince Frederik said to the journalits present that her daughter is a very pretty girl and the experience of being a father of a girl is just amazing. "Girls are very different from boys in this early age. Being a father of two children of both gender is a miracle" he said

I know this is abit of a late reply.
They are wonderful photos, it is good to see other royals getting invovlved in events like this. I didn't know that Princess Anne was interested in Sailing. And of course Frederik indulging in his passion; sailing of course.

I meant the former King of Greece, Frederik's uncle, was supposed to give the ISAF Rolex trophy and not Frederik. At least this is what I heard at the Greek subforum.
It's an amazing video, thank you!

The speech given at the ISAF Awards is posted on the official website of the Crown Prince Couple of Denmark...you would find an explanation there.
D.K.H. Kronprinsparret - ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards
CP Frederik mentions King Constantine in his speech
Quote:
My uncle, His Majesty King Constantine has presented these awards since the first ceremony in 1994. For this year, he has handed this great responsibility to me, and I am honoured to accept. His Majesty sends his best wishes to all the nominees for this year’s awards, to the guests here tonight and to Rolex, our ever generous partners.

The rest of the speech can be found at the above link!

Wonderful speech and video.
I'm glad Frederik took this role from his uncle, it's wonderful for his career. I would them to do present it together one day.
