Summary of article in Billed Bladet #22, 2014.
Written by our maritime reporter Ulrik Ulriksen.
Frederik was taking part in a Nordic Championships for small boats in Øresund (the strait between Sweden and Zealand) Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Along with two mates who ended up as number eight out of 24 contestants.
Saturday he got moral support from his family, in the shape of Mary and their four children.
With all the children wearing lifejackets they watched dad compete from a motorboat from Dannebrog. In a photo Bella is seeing cheering enthusiastically.

How cute for the whole family to cheer on dad.
Was it this past Thursday, Friday and Saturday?
Friday is when he was at the event with Haakon and then the gala

Thanks for sharing the photos of Frederik's sailing event. The children looked like they were having a good time, Isabella in particular. I like how the children come along sometimes to support their parents in sporting events.

Oh yes! And Josephine as well (with her charming smile and obvious willpower) I bet Frederik wan't sleep peacefully at night when those two become teenage daughters at around the same time.

Here's an article and a 'real' picture: Mary and the children followed daddy Frederik
Kronprinsesse Mary og børnene fulgte farmand Frederik - Villabyerne
The article tells Mary and the children sailed in the boat from Amaliehaven (just behind Amalienborg) to Hellerup where the sailing regatta took place.
Christian already knows a lot about sailing. As previously written here on TRF he is sailing optimist dinghy in Skovshoved. We have seen around on Facebook that people have spotted Frederik out looking at the Christian sails. Frederik also started sailing optimist dinghy when he was little.

I thought you might like to see the trophy Frederik won: https://app.box.com/s/7jy5vtw36yujlacmi43n
For once it's something you can have standing around in your living room and still look decorative.

CP Frederik has been spotted at a regatta in France.
He haven't sail much the last years and back in May he sold his boat 'Nanoq'. I wonder if there's a special reason because I see his secretary Morten Roland Hansen is there too. As well as F&M's Chief of Court Christian Schønau to the far right.

I wonder if the Queen is in France as well.

Tuesday was Se og Hor exclusive chat with a tired but happy Crown Prince in St Tropez. Here he revealed that Tuesday's sailing was not as challenging as the previous day, but all in all it goes gun with the race:
- It was not as fun as yesterday, there was less wind yesterday, told the Crown Prince

The newspaper Politiken informs us that Frederik won a sailing competition off the french riviera: Kronprinsen vinder prestigefuld kapsejlads: »Der er ikke blevet givet ved dørene« - Politiken.dk
My knowledge, let alone interest for sailing is limited so bear with me.
Frederik had rented a TP52 boat and he was the captain for the fifteen man crew, who are apparently very competent.
As tactician Polyesco's Frederik had chosen an Australian, James Spithill.
In fact Frederik's boat was not among the favorites, but neverthless they won.
But it wasn't easy, they had to work for the result.
The race lasted a week and that explains Frederik's abscence lately. - Now we only need to learn where QMII has been hiding...

I was also curious why we have not heard much about the sailing adventures of Crown Prince Frederik and after some searching realized he had sold Nanoq:
Tasmanian crew on Farr 40 campaign with ‘royal’ yacht
that is now doing very well indeed in her new Australian home!
http://www.livesaildie.com/voodoo-ch...onal-champion/
I imagine he has not enough time in the day to do all the things he would like to do....

Article and picture about Frederik sailing in the south of France two weeks ago
Kronprins Frederik blev nummer to i St. Tropez | billedbladet.dk
it looks like he did this race last year, he doesn't seem to sail much these past few years so this might be what he concentrates on in sailing.
Seems he did pretty well last year and this year
"The recent past has seen a bit of everything for Crown Prince Frederik, who has had lots of governmental and private tasks in his calendar. One of the most demanding was Les voiles-race in France."
