First, I'm must apologize to wiwaxia as I clearly misread the article (I used an online translator.)
Secondly, I merged and copied as many posts as I could find regarding Frederik's sailing competitions (Dragon Class and Farr 40) from 2003 to present. If I've missed any posts, please notify one of the Danish moderators (Mandy, Empress, Dazzling or JessRulz) via PM and we will be happy to add them to this thread.
Thirdly, within the confines of the TRF rules, feel free to discuss Frederik's interest in the sport of sailing. Don't forget to support your opinions with reliable published reports.
Have fun!
Mandy

Crown Prince Frederik (L), of Denmark, steers Nanoq to a first-place
finish in the Farr 40-class during race 7 of the Acura Key West sailing
regatta in Key West, Florida January 22, 2009. It was the first time,
in three years of racing in Key West, that Frederick and his crew won
a race, according to regatta officials. After seven races, Nanoq was
in eight place of the 12-boat Farr 40 class. The nine-race series is
scheduled to end on January 23.

According to the Farr 40 website Frederik is competing in a sailing competition from 8 to 11 March in Miami but in the Danish Offical Calendar he has official duties in Denmark on the 10 and 11 March. Looking at the cover of BilledBladet it looks like they are all in Miami.

You're right dazz, that picture of Mary and Isabella is from last year's trip to Miami for the Farr40 Worlds. The title of the article is "Mary and Frederik in Florida with the Children - From Ski Holiday to Sun Holiday"

According to the Farr 40 website.
March 5-8th = Acura Miami Grand Prix , Miami Beach Florida USA. NA Winter Circuit.
I can't find any info to say if Frederik is taking part or not?
And according to the forums Danish Royal Calender.
March 10
The Crown Prince attends the opening of the University of Copenhagen's Climate Change Conference at the Bella Centre.
March 11
The Crown Prince and Princess attend the the Defence Force and Air Force's Medal of Honour dinner at Christian VII's Palace at 20:00.
So in theory he could attend both??

In lumutqueen's link to the scratchings list, Nanoq (Frederik's boat) was scratched from the Farr40 events. I wouldn't think he'd go all the way to Miami if he and his team couldn't race.

I'm confused. If his boat was scratched from the Farr40 events, then why is his boat listed under the B- Farr40 list?

Do you mean this link (from lumutqueen's post) Lady Claire? This is the list of boats which were scratched from the competition - including Frederik's Nanoq.

WOW, I feel like a total idiot!
I thought it was a list of boats in the competition. I didn't put two and two together.
