Now, that's a workplace I'd love to go to every day!

I'm pleased to see that several of the gentlemen took Mary and the First Lady's hand and led it towards their lips, not kissing the hands like uncouth ruffians would. That's the way to do it.

Italy is DK's 10th largest trading partner and we'd like to increase the export. Not only of sustainable solutions and energy saving devices but quality products is something very sought after by the Italian consumers.

As a uniform nerd, I can't help noticing the lancers providing the honor guard in the court yard as well as the heavy dragoons standing by the doors.

I find it interesting and flattering that M&F were invited to lunch by the President. Protocol-wise M&F are one rank below him, so it would be perfectly appropriate had they been received by the vice-President or someone on a similar level.

They managed to wander a lot around in the Italian capital before Frederik found the right place. The darkness was about to descend, when he suddenly saw an old church, and it was in front of it, he fell on his knees.

Mary said, as everyone knows, yes, and it's therefore a happy Crown Prince couple who today landed in the Italian capital, Rome, with the couple to promote business cooperation with Italy.

Crown Prince Frederik:
- For us it's our moment. 15 years ago was a fantastic moment in our lives. Rome is special. The big moments are between us wherever we are on the globe. So Rome is certainly not ignored, it's a lovely place - it was here I got a "yes".

Crown Princess Mary:
- Yes it's a city filled with some amazing/strong memories, and it's always more powerful when you're in town. But we have many more memories to create together here in the city.

I am so glad they mentioned that 15 years ago, Rome was the place that Frederik asked Mary to marry him. This trip must be extremely nostalgic for them.

Do we know the date of the actual engagement? It was announced on October 8, 2013, so I assume it most likely was a few weeks earlier?

(and not that many weeks before my (now) husband proposed as that will be 15 years ago next week).

I don't think the Royals ever announce the date of the proposal. It some cases, they don't even announce where it happened! It seems the engagement period is once the Palace announces the engagement and it has gone through the necessary approvals.
