It was a very touching moment when the singer Lars H.u.g. surprised both the audience and not least the Crown Prince couple when he went on stage with the song "Can They Repair You?" at tonight's award of the Crown Prince Couple's Awards.
Exactly that number do indeed have a very special meaning for the couple. Crown Prince Frederik quoted Lars HUG's song's lyrics in his speech to the Crown Princess at the couple's wedding back in 2004.

What a lovely surprise, Frederik and Mary looked emotional during the performance, touched their hearts.

And I couldn't agree more! They put great effort in being informed and getting to know the awardees. The people looked at ease and so do Frederik and Mary.
It shows their commitment and how special these awards are to them

And meeting people, lots of people!
There is a ballet-school in Holstebro, hence the children and the locals are pretty proud of the sculpture of a woman, Maren, that M&F briefly looks at in the video. - I believe it has something to do with a local legend.

I'm pretty sure it looks like it in the background.
Instead of transporting so many people in the big expensive cars (the most of the CP-couple court is along on such a big event) why not collect them all in the royal wagon and linking it to the public transport? It has surely been a nice trip and a beautiful way to see the Danish landscape.
And then F&M may have could sleep in the train on the way home after the night's awards ceremony. I remember F&M also took the train when they held their awards ceremony in Aalborg in 2014.

Not that I know of. If so Vietnam seems an obvious choice.
But they will be going to Japan later this year.

"The recipients of the Crown Prince's Culture Prize and Social Prize will be revealed during the show in Jysk Music Theater in Silkeborg on November 25th. The recipients of the Crown Prince's Star Award Prize will be published in the weeks up to. The star prizes are awarded to honor and visualize younger artists."

Thanks Eya Always great to watch the Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes.
It will be live-streamed on DR1, but I don’t think members outside Denmark are able to watch it.
