Agree, and they're a pleasure to watch as F&M's children - all four - have such personality already. Funny how the boys and girls remind of each other. The boys are 'real boys', but at the same time with the most gentle souls and adorable smiles. And the girls have those sparkling sunshine-personalities, they're the charming and funny entertainers of the family. All four very happy, confident and well-balanced children.

Right know Vincent og Josephine still goes in kindergarten just 5 minutes from Frederik's 8's palace. In principle, they can begin to school in August this year, when they're 5.5 years old. I doubt it. I think F&M let them wait another year to they're 6.5 years. As they did with Isabella. It's more common and let them be 'children' a little longer. It's also very much F&M's style. But of course, if they are ready so...

BB have made a 8 minutes long birthday-video of the twins :) (It's most talk, though)

Looking at the lovely birthday pictures details (if you save them on your computer) you can see that the two single portraits of Vincent and Josephine was taken on October 15, 2015 (on Christian's birthday). It's also easy to see they are taken in Trend where the Crown Prince family held Christian's 10th birthday during their autumn holiday.

The picture of Vincent and Josephine together in Australia was taken on December 18, 2015.

I agree. Such happy kids that love the outdoors.

Interesting about the start of school, it would be so cute to see the twins answering some questions.
But I guess you are right, Isabella had turn 6 in April and Christian was a few months shy of his 6th birthday

Summaries of two articles in Billed Bladet #02, 2016.
Written by Ulrik Ulriksen.

Who took up position on Amalienborg Square on Vincent and Josephine's birthday - where he must have been frozen blue! - Because it was a cold day with heavy snow. - And judging from the expression on Josephine's face when sitting in a Nihola-bike with her brother, being driven to the kindergarten by mother, she had not yet fully re-acclimatized from Australia.
Mary too was prudently buried behind her scarf.
At 09.00 the family went out the gate heading towards the kindergarten, escorted by a PET officer on bike.
But the good BB photographer must have been numb with cold, because Frederik wasn't noticed...

But around 13.30 the twins were picked up again and ferried home, so they could be celebrated.
At around 14.00 Christian and Isabella returned home from school and at 14.30 QMII arrived. She spend an hour with her grandchildren before leaving again.
At 17.00 when darkness had set in, it was time for the friends to arrives, carrying presents. The guests were received at the gate by all four of M&F's children as well as Ziggy.

Among the guests were:
Ellen Hillingsø with her Christoffer Carstenschiold and their two children, Anna and Thomas.
Ellen Hillingsø's cousin, Rikke Juul Brandt with her Michael Brandt and their two daughters.
Christian Levin and Sofie Glahn with their daughter Leonora.
Pernille and Bendt Tito Wedell with their sons Tido and Hannibal.

- So it must have been lively!

Oh thanks a lot Muhler, you brought smiles to my face with that comment. Because yes, little Josephine (and Vincent and Mary too for that matter) definitely look like some who hadn't yet fully re-acclimatized from Australia's warm and sunny weather

And what a winter weather to come home to. Snow, cold and windy. Tonight we can expect -15 degrees below zero. Brrrr.... F & M and children must freeze their *** off after a month in mother's homeland.

But as you can see we Danes (F&M and children included) take our cycles in all kind of weather. In rain, wind and snow. We're used to it... But don't be fooled. We do not think it's funny. Not at all.

And another thanks from me for your summaries, Muhler. I'll bet that Mary and Frederik got very tired at the end of the party with all those little children running around! I hope Vincent and Josephine had a fun time.

Brrr, it looks to be freezing in Copenhagen. Is it common for it to still be snowing in April over there? Here in England, it would be somewhat of a novelty. It's getting colder here too (one of the weather reporters last night was lost for words at the cold, so just summarised the weather as "brrr"... ) and we are below zero at night. It's possible that we're going to get some snow too next week.

You are welcome.

It's uncommon to have snow lying around into April but it happens every ten winter or so. Usually the winter should be over by mid March.
But I fear this will be a repeat of the 2012 winter.
I didn't snow much, but it kept blowing for more than a month, well into March. And with the windchill factor it was minus 20 during the day, so the snow didn't melt.

Do you remember the ferry Isabella christened?
http://www.takeoff.dk/wp-content/upl...sams%C3%B8.jpg

It sails between Jutland and the Island of Samsø. Samsø is 100 % based on sustainable energy and as far as at all possible also recycling.
That makes the island a wonderful case study and research ground. - And that's good for the export...

Now it has been decided that the ferry, that now runs on natural gas, shall run entirely on bio-gas. Made from onions. These fellows: http://multimedia.pol.dk/archive/006...er_634461a.jpg
And waste from households too.

It has been decided to build a bio-gas plant to supply the ferry with gas. Onion (and other products) that would otherwise be discarded, will instead be processed and converted into fuel.
All the municipal cars on the island have long since been running on bio-fuel.

To sum up: Samsø is currently among the most environmentally clean habited places on the planet.

The plant will be ready in two years. So perhaps Bella will be back?
With dad this time? Because Frederik is involved in recycling and environmentally friendly energy-solutions.

a great initiative and connection with Greenland

"Josephine and Vincent Foundation awards scholarships"
Ivalo & Minik Foundation, which is named after Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik's twins, sends Greenlanders abroad to study.

"The three lucky recipients are Hans Peder Kirkegaard and Melisa Larsen, who each received a scholarship to study in the US and Majken Djurhuus Poulsen who have received a scholarship to study in London.

The purpose of Ivalo & Minik Foundation is to award scholarships to Greenlanders who want to take an international higher education or an international educational courses, including an internship in a company or organization."

Article from Hola with pictures from Frederik and Mary in church with their two oldest children during Easter. Article focuses on how much Isabella looks like Frederik:

Isabella de Dinamarca, clavadita a papá - Foto 1

Beautiful Bella (who is all Frederik) or as Mary says: "Isabella is like seeing a female version of Frederik"
http://us.hola.com/imagenes/realeza/...marca-17-a.jpg

Christian is really also a handsome boy. They are growing fast. We can also see how older they get, they get more and more dark hair like mother and father. I think they end up being just as dark haired when they get older.

New very lovely pictures of Isabella Taken just two days ago by Mary herself.

On the occasion of HRH Princess Isabella's birthday today, April 21, 2016 is published three new pictures of Princess Isabella.

The photos were taken of HRH Crown Prinsess Mary on the April 19, 2016 at Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg.

**

A happy birthday on this sunny day.

Isabella is absolutely presious!

Also credit to mom Mary - who is an excellent photographer

Where I always has thought she is the splitting image of her father, I see more and more of the mother in her too as she grows up.

But picture 2 is like watching a female version of Frederik. There is no doubt who her father is

The third picture reminds me of a Renaissance painting.
The background, the hairstyle and Bella's sleepy eyes.

Lovely photos of the birthday girl

Such a different look for her. I am so used to seeing her with her hair tied back, loose is a refreshing change.
