Some details about this wedding

The wedding of Lady Helen Windsor, daughter of Dukes of Kent and Tim Taylor was held in a fairy tale scenario The Windsor Castle.

With pomp and circumstance Lady Helen entered the Saint George Chapel in Windsor Castle. The last royal to wed here was Lady Helena of Teck in 1919.

The British Royal Family attended the wedding except for Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, Prince William and Prince Philip. Prince Charles, Prince Edward, Prince Andrew and Princess Anne arrived together
being followed some steps back by Princess Diana who didn’t separate from her son Prince Harry.

The wedding gown was inspired in Tudor style and was designed by Catherine Walker.

The diamond tiara was worn by the bride’s mother at her own wedding.

The groom arrived one hour before the start of the ceremony, in company of his best fried, James Hartley, who was in charge of keeping the rings.

The bride arrived, with 4 minutes of delay, with her father in a Bordeaux Rolls Royce.

The bride’s mother, Duchess of Kent, arrived first and welcomed all the guests by the door. The Duchess wears a Giorgio Armani suit, in light blue.

Lady Helen promised to love and honor, but not to obey her husband.

The bridesmaids were Lady Gabriella Windsor, Sophie Elwes and Allegra Faggionato and the pages were Lord Downpatrick, Thomas Thornton and Nicholas Taylor (half brother of the groom).

When the ceremony finished the couple left the chapel under the organ sound of “Grand Coeur Dialogue”.

The reception was held in Crocker End and from BRF only Prince Charles attended.

During the reception the bride’s father, Duke of Kent made the following speech “I believe that people say that there is a hard side in a wedding. You have to work really hard to make it. My advice is that you make sure you enjoy all the good things together. Sense of humor is necessary too. I am sure that all our friends, neighbors and family gathered here are united in a single wish: Love and Happiness to Tim and Helen”

Beautiful dress, beautiful jewelry, beautiful day, beautiful couple.

I wouldn't have choose the dress myself, but it really fit her and look fantastic on her. Good choice.

I think Helen and her mother were both two of the most beautiful royal brides.

Too bad that Tim has had such a bad time with his health, and aren't they fortunate to have had two more children!

I actually think that Helen's mother Katherine was the more beautiful bride. I have only ever managed to find four photos of her which is a shame.

I think that Lady Helen is now at 40 more beautiful than when she was in her 20's. She is aging quite well.

Her dress was stunning, you can't go wrong with Catherine Walker. Helen has always been a favourite of mine and it is nice to hear that her husband has recovered.

I really like her dress. I like the design on the top half of it.

... I think the dress was very nice, maybe for such a young woman too klassiek...what was wrong with Tim's health?

he suffered from hodgkins lymphoma about 5 years ago and nearly died but he has since made a full recovery.

I think they had a child after his recovery. I am not sure.

Both their daughters were born since his recovery from cancer.

I don't think that's the same tiara that Lady Helen wore on her wedding day as her mother did when she got married.

@ Lumutqueen- What is it you don't like about Princess Di's outfit?

I love how unique her wedding dress was.I love the neckline. The jewelry was also perfect.

:previous: This was a very unique wedding dress and, perhaps, risky, but she pulled it off so well... I like it. Although I also like her entire bridal look, I do wonder how it would have been without the necklace.
