The day of his wedding Prince Albert , Prince de Liège, wore the collar of the order of Malta such as his father ex-King Leopold III.
We have a high national order , the order of Leopold , which doesn't have any collar only a sash.
King Baudouin wore on his wedding day the spanish Charles (III ?) collar.
(The same one President Sarkozy wore on the State visit of France to Spain)

Maria-Olivia, It was interesting to learn that Prince Albert and Leopold III wore the collar of the order of Malta.

Monseigneur van Roey, Cardinal-Archbishop of Malines, in his address told the newlyweds, 'be tender towards one another' before describing Paola as 'like a ray of Italian sunshine come to shine upon us'.
