sorry but the dress was ugly...it looked poorly put together and the fur made it look like a beaver got stuck on it

what an awful wedding party - did she actually wash her hair for the wedding!!

IIRC it rained on their wedding day and that was blamed for Victoria's lank hair.

I like the dress, it seems renexance-inspired. I just hate the fur. yuck.

the dress is not bad..except for the fur..which makes the dress look horrible

and yeah victoria looks sick...maybe that explains why a lot of people dont like the dress.

Im sure it would look better on someone else

What a beautiful ring! With the combined hearts topped by a crown. Very symbolic. Charles has good taste I must say.
Regarding Victoria's wedding gown though... I didn't like it either. It doesn't look regal or even appropriate for a wedding, really!

I think the ring is gorgeous, if a little small and surprisingly inexpensive for a nobleman's bride...

As to the gown, again gorgeous, especially the sable trim. But not for her. It was built for a more statuesque figure: taller, curvier. She was so very thin...ill, I know, but all the same...

In older times, women wore their long hair down for their weddings, in token of their maidenly modesty. After, they wore it pinned up.

As Viscount Charles married Victoria, think of how many news reporters might be paying more attention to his sister, The Princess of Wales than to the bride. Did Victoria think such thoughts as these? Did Victoria think that she was being compared to Princess Diana when Lady Diana was a bride?

Princess Diana attended Charles' wedding.

If I recall correctly, Victoria was a bit of a "flower child" so I doubt she cared. Also, though I don't remember exactly, her wedding outfit wasn't exactly the norm for high-class weddings of the day. I seriously doubt she even had Diana on her mind. And, didn't they move to South Africa right after the wedding? If so, there wasn't really any time for the two to be compared.

I thought her wedding gown was awful. I really dislike the fur.
