Actually, William himself has indicated that he wishes to stay in the forces until 2016 when the SAR are due to be disbanded as a privacy attempt for his wife and family.

The rumours about William and the military come in the following four options:

1. Stay in the SAR and in Wales - until the SAR is privatised in 2017
2. Stay in the SAR but move to the Scottish base - again until 2017
3. Transfer back to the Household Cavalry and move to KP and begin to increase his royal duties
4. Leave the military and take up full time duties


No doubt none of these above will actually happen.

As for other predictions:

Kate and William will become parents
Zara will announce a pregnancy early in the year - too late in the year will impact her preparation for the World Championships in 2014 and 2015 will be spent preparing for Rio in 2016
