I read once that a child should be breastfed up until they reach 9 months. I think the reason was because they got all the immunity they could get from their mothers milk. So which royals don't breasfeed or is that a potential new thread?

I think now all the princesses pretty much breast-feed. It may have it's scheduling conflicts but breast-feeding is the way for the baby to get immunity from the mother like Kelly said. Even if princesses are holding bottles in public, they have breast-pumps now where the mom can pump milk out ahead of time if she knows she's going to be in public.

It is possible to use the breast pump and provide the milk for the bottle while never actually breastfeeding the baby. A friend of my daughter did that with her first child, who was a boy. Her husband was unemployed and stayed home with the baby while the mother used a breastpump so she could provide milk for the baby although she was working an outside job to support her husband and child.

All the best,
