I don't see how Guillaume lived so basically either. He had the means to go home when he wanted which would be nice, if that is even allowed at a military academy. Doesn't seem like it would be.

I think you are comparing apples and oranges. Paris Island is a functional oraganization for training marines whereas Sandhurst is more comparable to the US Academy at West Point. Guillaume is probably at Sandhurst for officer training rather than combat duty.

Yes, very true... Isn't Guillaume perfect? Intelligent, polite, mature, handsome... Men just aren't polite, well-mannered and chivalrous anymore! What a sad state for our society to be in... what ever happened to pride in being a GENTLEMAN? I would rather go out with someone who would hold open a door for me, than some loser in a loud car (or whatever young men take pride in these days!)
