I have been looking for pictures of some European royals but it doesn't appear many have trod the red carpet . Perhaps it is considered too glitzy, but on the other hand if a film from their country is up for a prize I thought they might wish to lend their support. I find it interesting that British royals have attended. |
The appearance of the neighbours from Monaco is logical. And we see the usual suspects like Carlo and Camilla di Borbone-Due Sicilie (residents of Monaco, by the way) and Clotilde Courau, exclusively as l'actrice française indeed and not presenting herself as HRH Princess Clotilde of Savoy, Princess of Piedmont, Princess of Venice.
For the rest it is probably too superficial, that whole red carpet thing outside on the boulevard, and indeed maybe a reason many royals prefer to not to be seen there.
