I was sure that W & K were wearing credentials when I saw them earlier.

The badges are not only name tags but also necessary in case of an emergency. In case of a catastrophic event it will be difficult to identify faces covered in blood. The badges are an important part of the security arrangements.
 
Don't think it was mentioned yet but Princess Charlene was at the swimming finals yesterday and looked very thrilled when South-african swimmer Chad LeClos won a gold medal :)

Nothing scheduled for today for the BRF's but then again their schedules were always tentative and were subject to change.

That's what I thought, I know that they are all recognizable but I thought that for security reasons they needed to wear the badges. Obviously, they had only removed them.

Prince Philip is going to watch sailing and Princess Anne is at the Olympic Park.

EDIT: Prince William and Harry watching Helen Glover and Heather Standing get Team GBs first gold, and first ever gold for GB women's rowing.

Sorry but nobody 'needs' to come and support their country, they choose to do it. If they don't want to come I see no reason why they should.

The fact that they likely do not have to pay for their tickets is why I am surprised they have not attended yet.

They are wearing credentials. Look at some of the other pictures and it is possible to see their credentials.

How on earth was that insulting? Did I say the world revolved around William, Kate and Harry? No, I didn't. In fact, it's you who has just dubbed the other family members there "lesser mortals", not me. I simply stated that they're probably the most recognisable faces that the officials and volunteers (mostly British) will see in the Park. The Queen and DoE didn't wear credentials at any stage while in the Park, is that an insult to competitors and other royals too?

The badges are first and foremost for identification, which is unnecessary for senior British royals who are in their own country.

Looking at her I have often wondered whether she was happy in her marriage.

I think the S. Africans are usually pretty competitive in swimming. To beat Michael Phelps in addition to winning the gold is icing on the cake. Congratulations S. Africa.

Well, there is a world outside the Olympics and that world needs attention as well. I haven't seen any posts about the Queen attending anything either, except for the opening ceremony.
