2012 Paralympic Games in London, August 29 - September 9, 2012

Next designed the chavtastic outfits I believe. Awful, truly awful.

TBH when I first saw Team GB parade into the Olympic stadium wearing those white and gold outfits, all I could think of was the costuming in the old movie The Music Man. Worse outfits I'd ever seen for an athletic team.

they looked very similar to the ones the GB atheletes wore at the opening Ceremonies of the Olympics - those were by Next as well. .

They're the same outfits, think it was a unity thing between both the Olympic and Paralympic teams.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with The Countess of Wessex and Lady Louise Windsor are at the Cycling Events in the Velodrome. Cute images of Catherine and Louise, an awesome duo who should socialise together more often!!

Yay! So glad to see her! But these adverts are killing me! BBC should have broadcasted the paralympics as well.

The royals got to see a great British world record too from Sarah Storey, who could probably mix it with the able-bodied athletes tbh.

There were some cute images of William, Catherine, Louise and Sophie doing the Mexican wave at the Velodrome. Too much cuteness for me this morning. All we need is James now.

love to see Kate and Louise interacting! they seem to be very close :)

Nice cambridge photos. Great to see Louise too but she should really cut her hair :)

She looks lovely with her long blonde curls.

I guess we were spoilt with BBC uninterrupted hours of coverage because Channel 4 as well as the adverts is awful, the presenters aren't the same and the fact that today we have 3, 3 hour programs and then it goes back to normal week day telly is annoying. I heard that the BBC didn't bid enough for the paralympic games, but Channel 4 are not doing it justice.

EVERY picture of Anne I've seen this summer, the girl is wearing sunglasses. She should take them off for once so everyone can see her pretty face!

There is a reason women wear sunglasses, whilst it hasn't been particularly warm this summer the sun has shone at awkward angles.

Why was Anne wearing sunglasses at night? Corey Hart wannabe much? And what was she crying about?

Unless it is in one of the videos, I cannot see a picture of Anne wearing sunglasses.
The only picture of Anne is this one, with no sunglasses on.

I adore Louise's blonde ringlets, they look so lovely. I want to scrunch them, however, to make them more ringlet shaped as opposed to brushing them, which is what it looks like she does with her hair.

Channel 4 also have 3 other channels available, as well as C4 and More4. I know it will never be as good as the BBC, but this is the first time the Paralympic's has had so much coverage.

I'm confused, Channel 4 and 4+1 and 4seven seem to be the only ones broadcasting paralympic programmes. 4seven is only broadcasting the opening ceremony as a repeat. What other 3 channels are broadcasting the paralympics?

I have Sky and channels 450, 451 and 451 are all broadcasting the Paralympic's. I believe it is what is shown if you push the red button.

Interesting, I had no idea those channels even existed. Yet BBC extra channels were a lot easier to find.

I've only just noticed, no French this time!

That would be because the International Paralympic Committee only has English as their official language. When the President of the Paralympic Committee was introduced, I was confused because I genuinely thought it was Dr Rogge and I didn't realise they had a separate committee. Then I was like well duh Rachel it's obvious!

I'm watching the paralympics now, recorded it because I was out last night, Jon Snow and Grishnan Guru-Murphy seriously know how to put their foot in it!

Jon - we tried to find disabled reporters to interview the athletes so they felt comfortable.
Grishnan - are wild card athletes incredibly slow? (The paralympic athlete sat next to him did not take kindly to that)

With the BBC we had money talk, diamond talk, and 'issues'. Now we have insults from the Channel 4 team.

Now that was a torch lighting! The first ever GB paralympian from the 1960 Rome Games, was treated at Stoke Mandeville Hospital by Dr Gutteman himself!

That's generation talking for you!

Prince Edward, Princess Astrid and Infanta Elena (they called her Princess Elena, it's all the same really) all presented medals at the Aquatic Centre in London this evening.

In every event picture I've seen of her, she's wearing sunglasses. Does she have sensitive eyes?
