MEANS OF ENHANCING THEM. A HOST OF ISSUES OF MUTUAL INTEREST WERE

HONOUR OF KING JUAN CARLOS OF SPAIN AND HIS ACCOMPANYING DELEGATION.
THE FUNCTION WAS ATTENDED BY A NUMBER OF THEIR EXCELLENCIES
SHEIKHS, MINISTERS, DEPUTY SPEAKER OF THE ADVISORY (SHURA) COUNCIL,
HEADS OF DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS ACCREDITED TO QATAR AS WELL AS

The Kings, in Qatar
The visit will be brief, and will serve to reinforce the bows of cooperation with the Arab country.

The Kings of Spain have arrived at the 18.50 hours to the airport of Doha to initiate a brief official visit to Qatar, with which he is desired to reinforce the bilateral political dialogue and to endorse the Spanish enterprise presence in this country of the Persian Gulf.
To their arrival to the airport of Doha, the Kings of Spain were received on the foot of the stairway by the Emir of Qatar, sheik Hamad bin Jalifa To the Zani - that saluted to the King with kisses in the cheeks and kissed the hand of Queen Sofia- and by its wife, Mozah bin Nasser To the Misnad, which constitutes a deference gesture towards the guests little habitual in the qatarí protocol.
The Spanish minister of Outer Subjects, Miguel Moratinos Angel, and the Secretary of State of Commerce, Pedro Mejía, comprise of the delegation who head the Kings, to those who went to receive the respective ambassadors, whereas the Emir arrived accompanied from the head of the qatarí diplomacy, sheik Hamad bin Yasim bin Yabor To the Zani.
From the airport, Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía they went to the hotel that will serve to them as residence to go later to the Palace To the Wajbah, where the Emir he will maintain an official interview with the King and will offer a supper in his honor. In this supper it is predicted that they attend all the members of the qatarí Government and a representation of the enterprise world, according to informed Spanish diplomatic sources.
Of simultaneous form, the wife of the Emir, who presides over the Foundation for the Education and Development of Qatar, will meet with Queen of Spain in an official supper organized in the same complex of A the Wajbah. Tomorrow, the agenda of the Kings in Doha will have a private character and will include a visit to zoco historical of the city and a lunch in the residence of the Emir, after who Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía will undertake trip from return to Spain.

The Emir of Qatar celebrates the interest of King Juan Carlos to increase to the enterprise cooperation

The Emir of Qatar, sheik Hamad bin Jalifa To the Zani, favorably welcomed Wednesday the interest of the King of Spain in increasing the enterprise cooperation and he expressed the preoccupation to him of its country by the difficulties that the Palestinian town crosses, according to diplomatic sources.
Most of the conversation was centered in the shared aspiration to maintain the intense political relations bilateral - that benefit from the friendship between the Emir and the King and in the desire, showed by Don Juan Carlos, to deepen the economic relations until the same level, a message that was greeted positively by sheik Hamad, added the sources. In this sense, the King animated to explore qataríes possibilities of investment in Spain and defended the necessity to favor the presence of Spanish companies in Qatar, a at the moment immersed country in ambitious industrial projects and of infrastructures.
The city of Doha, that received to the Kings engalanada with Spanish and qataríes flags in its main avenues, is the capital of a prosperous Emirate thanks to petroleum and the natural gas - occupies the third position as far as volume of world-wide reserves -, but that has decided to diversify its economy and to give to a fort impulse to its infrastructures and their petrochemical sector

Qatar's emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa receives late 26 April 2006 Spain's King Juan Carlos in Doha. The Spanish royal couple arrived in the Gulf emirate of Qatar from Jordan for a two-day visit that aims to boost economic ties. Ahead of the visit, businessmen from Spain and Qatar met in Doha at the initiative of their two governments "to promote economic relations and investments" between the countries.

HH THE Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and visiting King Juan Carlos of Spain held a round of official talks at Al Wajba Palace last night. The talks were attended by HE the First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani, HE the Chief of the Emiri Diwan Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Saud al-Thani, Qatar’s Ambassador to Spain Sheikh Fahd bin Awidha al-Thani and Assistant Director of European and American Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry HE Abdullah Hussein al-Jaber.

Kings return to Spain after visiting zoco rehabilitated of Doha

The Kings of Spain today concluded their trip to Qatar with a day of deprived character during which the Emir and his wife accompanied in a visit rehabilitated zoco to them Waqif, where verified the turn out of the efforts to preserve the traditions of Doha in spite of the fast modernization of the city.
The Emir of Qatar, sheik Hamad bin Jalifa To the Zani, and their wife, Mozah bin Nasser To the Misnad, later offered to their guests a lunch in the Palace of A the Wajbah, to the outskirts of Doha, and they accompanied the airport to them by the capital, from where the airplane of the Spanish Air Force in which the Kings travel left to Madrid to first hour of afternoon.
Thus he concluded a brief visit - he began yesterday to last hour of afternoon, when Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía the excellent personal relations between Chiefs of State like the intense political dialogue between both countries arrived at Qatar coming from Jordan but in which were reaffirmed so much both, according to emphasized diplomatic sources.
The private program that today took to the Kings to visit the almost symbolic historical zone of Doha, a city in which new skyscrapers are raised continuously on the brink of madness sea in competition with the neighboring Arabes Emirates, was preceded of an official day that combined the hospitality and the affectionate deal with the fulfillment of the qataríes social norms between men and women.
The greater exponent was the simultaneous celebration in A the Wajbah of two separated suppers, one of them offered to the King and the other to Reina, which they attended all the women of the Spanish delegation and that had like host the wife of the Emir, which, of exceptional form for the occasion, combined the target with the rigorous black of ' abbayas' that usually dresses in the official acts.

Qatar's emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa (R) and his wife Sheikha Moza bint Nasser al-Misnad (L) bid farewell 27 April 2006 to Spain's King Juan Carlos and Queen Sophia in Doha, at the end of their 24-hour visit state visit to the Gulf emirate. The visit aimed at boosting economic ties with gas-rich Qatar, however, no accords were signed. Bilateral trade amounted to 359 million dollars in 2005. Spain imported 227.2 million dollars' worth of liquefied natural gas from Qatar, which holds the world's third largest reserves of natural gas.

wow.. that's quite a quick visit.
so, the Kings only visited 1 place in Qatar?

They've had very very busy week, and after this, it's on to Stockholm.
What a hard working couple...

I like Queen Sofia wore such a bright outfit in Doha, it really looks enlighting..
