DOHA: H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser will be honoured by the Health and Humanitarian aid department of the Arab League in October, for her role played in humanitarian work, an Arabic daily reported yesterday.
According to a draft prepared by the Health and Humanitarian aid department Sheikha Moza will be recognised for her continued contribution in providing humanitarian needs including food and healthcare and also for her prompt action taken to help people soon after a disaster.

I love the Sheika's sense of style she always looks great to me. HH is the epitome of real class and style for me. I can not understand Vanity Fairs choices however, as they left out Bettina Wulf from Germany. A woman generally acknowledged as one of the best dressed ladies in Europe. Certainly better than Carla.

The time has come for globalisation in the research field to be recognised as well.”

Barcelona ratifies Qatar shirt deal, bans smoking - CBS News

I hope this becomes true because smoking is really bad and unhealthy:
Jordi Mones, Barcelona's director for the medical and performance area, said he would like FIFA "to advocate smoke-free football" and apply a smoking ban to stadiums in other countries. The vote on the smoking ban was 538 for and 89 against with 39 abstentions.

the FC Barcelona aleady banned smoking in her stadium the Cam Nou and I think other should follow her step.
by the way I find the Qatar Foundation and Barca tie intersting I think that huge money could be used in other more usful areas IMO.

a youtube-user uploaded many videos of the Qatar Ruling family, here´s an interview with Sheikha Mozah after Qatar won the FIFA World Cup bid,I think it was not posted before :)
She looks so happy and overjoyed & I am only sad because I don´t understand a word of what she´s saying because I´m not speaking Arabic :-( Anyone who can translate a little bit?

@ shrifia- Professional football always costs a lot,but there´s a lot of revenue with the merchandising products,advertisment/sponsoring and tourism just to mention a few...Nobody wants to hold the World Cup to watch a group of men running after a leather ball but because it is a good way to present your country and attract visitors from all around the world...I am not so much into football but I watch some games...Sport competitions bring people together,no matter what religion, origin or social class they are-which is much more important than the athletic aspect of the games!
