These are good dates to be away for Prince William and his family; he will present for Prince Louis' birthday, and will be back for his and Duchess Kate's anniversary.

I also wonder if he will undertake more engagements while he is there. It is such a long way it would be nice to carry out more engagements if at all possible..

It's our ANZAC day on 25 April, so he's sure to have some sort of duty then.

If he is only there for two days perhaps not. Visiting two cities in 2 days, his focus will be centered on the sites and organizations around it.

Though since it is Anzac day I'd expect him to perhaps attend one of the Anzac events. I know many of them have been reduced due to the attacks.

I remember reading about Alen Alsati and the injuries she and her father suffered. I'm so glad that she's woken up from her coma and that they are both recovering.

Looking at the Easter walk by William and Harry I can only suspect that they were both deeply in thought about the near future. William and his trip to NZ and Harry on tenterhooks waiting for the birth of his first child.

William looked preoccupied at the ANZAC Service he attended in Wellington. Not surprising as he was set to visit Starship Children's Hospital and visit a three-year-old survivor of the Christchurch Mosque massacre who was flown to Starship Children's Hospital for specialist care, and that was just the beginning. There were first responders, Police, Ambulance, Call takers and today he visits the main Mosque to meet with the survivors, their families and the families of the dead.

Sitting on the hospital bed talking to such a very little girl who has only woken from her coma earlier this week must have been gut-wrenching when you are a father yourself. In the event, his "Daddy" experience resulted in a meeting that was so sweet especially when she asked him if he had a little girl, even better, William's response about Charlotte was so easy and just plain happily "normal" you see what his children have taught him. His discussion with the child's father seemed successful too.

His meeting with the Police, the Call Takers and the Ambulance workers seemed to have gone well but I can't help thinking that disturbing memories and nightmares will return. We have yet to really hear of today's meetings but, I don't envy him or the Prime Minister who is with him. It's tough work and you cannot imagine how much it means to us here that Prince William is doing this nor are we unaware of how gut-wrenching it is for him to do.

One thing I think is pretty much a given, Marg, too is that when someone has worked in search and rescue and has seen things no human should really ever see, a visit to someone that has gone through such a horrible experience such as the Mosque massacre brings a lot of experiences back to mind. On the positive side, along with the lessons learned from having his own children, William has developed the knack of empathy and being able to soothe along with the work he's done. He can relate to people and this visit brings it all out in the open.

As for a William/Harry feud, I think that if there really was something amiss between the brothers, it would be something that bothered them both immensely. They both don't seem to be the kind of people to carry grudges for very long. I'm sure that William was pleased to hear that his wife was accompanied by his brother to the ANZAC service in London.
