Sorry I replied to the discussing about Charles liking Romania--certainly not suggesting he would be the right king for that country...it just came up. We are getting tired focusing on Baby.

I am not actually an astrology buff, either. Gave that up thirty years ago. I don't think Baby's birthday will affect his life.

It is clear from the discussion and the dates given that Wiliam is a 'cusp' child and so has a bit of both signs. His own child may end up being the same - a 'cusp' child.

Still no news/updates?

I originally guessed that either July 12th, 13th and 14th would be the day Baby Cambridge is born, but I'm wrong. My new guess is July 25th.

Now that I'm working this past 2 weeks, I've been busy and not that anxious with the arrival of the baby. They said July, so I'll be waiting moderately until the 31st, but once August starts and the baby is not here by then I think I will be crazy once again :D

William is Gemini.

William is born on the first day of Cancer (June 21). Gemini ends on the 20th of June.

Last time I checked... The Prince of Wales lacked skills in Romanian. So if this is the argument for Charles being the rightful heir/king of Romania, he has work to do... Lol
Why should he speak Romanian? Just because he bought properties in Romania?

Whereas Prince Nicholas should.

For entertainment purposes only: Gemini runs from May 22 to June 21. William's birthday is considered on the cusp of Gemini ... or on the cusp of Cancer, whichever you choose.

The 12 Signs of the Zodiac: Gemini

Not that I believe much in astrology anymore. :flowers:

...the article I read also showed the warm affection between Charles and Margarita, who did grow up in England, didn't she?
Crown Princess Margarita attended Edinburgh University and had regular contact with the BRF. For a while she was said to be among the front-runners as a suitable bride for the Prince of Wales but the friendship remained platonic. A few years ago she gave an interview where she outlined her contact with the Queen and BRF during that time and also discussed her former serious relationship with then fellow university student Gordon Brown, who of course later became Britain's Prime Minister.

As to the "Charles for King of Romania" nonsense, I have a sense of déjà vu. About a year or so ago we had a new member who was determined to push this line as the first and only item on their agenda. Once again the Mail Online story was trotted out (it first appeared in November 2011) and offered as proof of the seriousness of the proposition. I'm surprised the link to that story hasn't worn out from overuse.

Yes, Charles has an interest in the protection of the Romanian cultural heritage and enjoys the Romanian countryside. He is also descended from Vlad II Dracul, Voivode of Wallacia (father of Vlad III 'the Impaler') via Queen Mary's Transylvanian forebears. That fact hardly provides a legitimate claim to the Romanian throne as there are 17-18 generations and 500 years between Vlad II and the Prince of Wales.

Just one quote from the Mail article should have been enough for this whole furphy to have been put back in its box and quietly buried...

"Newspapers have even gone so far as to speculate that Charles could give up the British throne in favour of his popular eldest son and heir, Prince William, to become the next King of Romania instead."

Yeah, right.

The last I checked Charles was the Heir to a certain throne in Great Britain and I think he rather have that one.

Absolutely agree with that one! The Romanian people LOVE their crown princess -I'm not saying they don't like the Prince of Wales, but its the 21st century, so I don't see them forgoing Margarita for Charles. Especially knowing he is the heir the British crown.

It is now July 21st in the U.K and now we enter Late July.

My last prediction is that the Baby will be born tomorrow and July 25th.

If the baby is born on the 21st, then it would be interesting as the baby would be born on the same day Belgium receives a new King and Queen. :)

My Lord... another evening of cheap wine, Facebook games and obsessively checking Twitter to see if Kate has felt a twinge.

Would somebody please help me.....

I suppose it's time I retracted my July 20th guess.

It would be fun if the Lord Frederick Windsor baby arrived early, and first--headlines just colliding with one another! Someone would suggest a monarchist movement afoot in the US. US magazine would be certain of it (or whatever that dreadful magazine is called).
Relax Giraffy! Baby C will be here by my birthday, only 2 l/2 days to go.

If Baby C arrives tomorrow, it might be a swell gesture to name it after the new king or queen of Belgium!
We entertained the name Matilda, anyway. Alice Matilda, Grace Matilda, great names! Or if a boy, the British version of Philippe could appear, lots of us thought the DofE should be honored anyway. The new King and Queen might be invited as godparents, in the older tradition of the royal families. I'll give up holding out for my birthday if they'll do that for a July 21 baby!

Back away from your computer. Grab a good book, a bottle of single malt Scotch, put some Bach on the CD player and just sit back and relax knowing there will be no baby news until tomorrow.

So Kate still hasn't had the bub yet. It's still Sunday in the UK so it could still happen today. And yes I call her Kate because for nearly 10 years that is what she was called it changed when she got engaged. But I think she still get's Kate from family and friends I do not know a single Catherine (and that is my sisters name) who doesn't get it shortened to either Kate, Cathy, Kath or Kat (which is my sisters nickname) William has called her Kate so I don't see anything wrong with calling her that. Of course I'm an aussie and we shorten everything. LOL I hope the baby comes before I go into hospital.

Is it time to stage an intervention?????:p

It's okay Gracie. The first step is admitting that you have a problem and are powerless over your obsession with royal baby watch 2013.
The second step is accepting that there is a higher power than yourself who can restore you to sanity - be it God, the Baby, or Catherine.

Is anyone else's server acting extremely wonky??!!:bang:

Mine too whenever I come on to check it takes me back to pages I've already read. I wonder if we will hit 200 pages of musing. All this talk and the little bub isn't even here yet.

There are some threads I simply cannot post in, no matter how many times I try. Aggravating beyond belief!

Very much so. The slow response becomes no response for lengthy periods.

Even the server is agitated at little Cambridge and his/her decision to come into this world later than everyone thought!

The astrology discussion had swamped the thread and had become a boring digression into personal star signs. It's unfair for those members who are not the least bit interested in charts or cusps or arguments over whether something starts on the 21st of 22nd. Those posts have been moved across to Astrology Corner in the non-royal related Members area.

I understand that expectations are rising - this will be the first major British royal birth of the internet age after all - but until something of substance occurs, eg a car escorted by police leaving the Middleton residence heading for London, the only rule of the game is patience. Pending any news that can be verified, the Baby Cambridge Musings thread is the place to entertain yourselves, preferably with a variety of topics.

cheers :)

I think it's just because Warren was moving stuff around and the forum got confused.

Aggravating indeed - I've been locked out twice now for lengthy periods.
Fortunately there hasn't been any breaking news.
