I am happy to know that Felix and Claire of Luxembourg are expecting their second child very soon

I am surprised to see that there is not yet a baby in the home of Guillaume and Stephanie of luxembourg

Of course in 2012, before their wedding they said that a baby was not their priority but 4 years after , it is time that the heir crown couple has a child , Stephanie is now 32 years old , at that age, Kate, Madeleine, the queen of Bouthan have already their first child
I find strange that the couple wants to wait still some times before to have a baby.but it is not the subject of this board at least we learn a very good new from the couple.

On itself there is no obligation to make babies. After all there are plenty of heirs in Luxembourg, after Guillaume (1) and probably all of them will get children:

(2) Prince Félix de Luxembourg
(3) Princess Amalia de Nassau
(4) Prince(ss) [name] de Nassau
(5) Princess Alexandra de Luxembourg
(6) Prince Sébastien de Luxembourg

Yes, but it is a duty of a heir princess to give a direct heir to the crown even if there are a lot of princes or princesses in the sucession list
If Mary would have not children,
the children of the prince Joachim would be heirs
if Letizia would have no children
The children of Elena would be heirs
If Charlene would have no children
the children of Caroline would be heirs
if M Maritt would have no children
the three girls of Martha louise would be heirs

If we think like you
It would be an obligation for the sisters or brothers of the heir to give heirs to the crown

A duty ? I thought everyone had the right to decide wether they want children or not and and if they want, when they want...

Even royals are humans like you and me who lives in todays society.

And maybe they can't have children. It's not so easy for everyone.

There have been many cases of people coming to the throne because those before them didn't have (surviving) children.

Elizabeth II of Britain is one such example.

I had forgotten they had had a daughter in 2015!

Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia and his wife, Princess Sophie's third child, Princess Emma Marie Charlotte Sophie, was born on the 2 April 2015. She was named after her grandmother, Countess Donata Emma of Castell-Rüdenhausen, Duchess of Oldenburg, who sadly died later that same year at age 65.

Hereditary Prince Alexander of Isenburg and his wife, Princess Sarah are expecting their second child in January.

They are already parents of a daughter, Princess Alix Imagina.

Alexander's parents must be very happy to get two new grandchildren in the next months as his sister, now Princess Sophie of Prussia is also pregnant with the fourth child.

Prince Rahim Aga Khan (b.12 October 1971) [eldest son of His Highness the Aga Khan IV (b.1936) & his first wife, Begum Salimah Aga Khan, nee Sarah Croker-Poloe (b.1940)] & his wife Princess Salwa, nee Kendra Spears (b.5 August 1988) are expecting their second child in the Winter 2017.

They already have a son Irfan (11-4-2015)

Pierre Casiraghi (b.5 September 1987) [youngest of three children of Princess Caroline of Monaco (b.1957) & her late second husband Stefano Casiraghi (1960-1990) & his wife Beatrice Borromeo (b.18 August 1985) [daughter of Carlo Borromeo, Count of Arona (b.1935) & Paola Marzotto (b.1955)] are expecting their first child early next year.

Wel,, until it is not confirmed or overt, it still is speculation.

That is one long pregnancy..

They are as royal as many of the random other couples on this board. He may have no title, but piere is a member of the Monaco royal family, and in succession to the throne even of on his mothers side. Far more standing then these riyals who's titles are abolished and are nothing but last names. There are also grandchildren of princesses whose children are listed here. Bemoaning piere is only Royal on his mothers side seems splitting hairs.

He is grandson of a late Prince Rainier III and nephew of Prince Albert II, so a very close relative.
IMHO, for example Maud Angelica Behn is in a more degree "Princess" even without official title than Princess Maria Olympia of Greece; Maud Angelica's grandpa is a reigning King, whereas when Maria Olympia was born, Greece was already a republic (and she never lived in Greece).

As Royal is not Royal.
I never saw Princess Zara Philips although her Mother is Princess Royal and her Grand Mother is Queen of Great Britain.
The Casiraghi new born Children are all Very Rich Commoners.

Thanks Countessmeout.

They are of course not technically royal but they are at the very least aristocrats, and for the purpose of this discussion board that's all that counts.;)

Any news on the birth of the little ones? :flowers:

A great joy is coming to parents who half year ago lost tragically and unexpectedly their only little treasure, Alienor Faye, aka Alya Nur (29-9-2014 -13-12-2015).

Prince Rudolf of Liechtenstein (b.7 September 1975)
