Princess Aisha bint Hussein of Jordan (b.23 April 1968) [daughter of late King Hussein bin Talal (1935-1999) & his second wife Princess Muna, nee Antoinette Gardiner (b.1941)] married, as her second husband, Ashraf Banayoti in her home in Amman on 27 January.

She was previously married to Zeid Juma by whom she has two children: Aoun (27-5-1992) & Muna (18-7-1996); this marriage ended in divorce.

He was previously married (from 2004 to 2011) to Spanish top model Laura Ponte y Martinez (b.9 June 1973) by whom he has two children: Luis Felipe (1-7-2005) & Laura (1-7-2006).

Prince Alexander of Croÿ (*1987), eldest child of Prince Philipp of Croÿ (*1957) and Duchess Margaretha of Oldenburg (*1954), married Katja Schulz this year.

Alexander is the first of his siblings to marry. His sister Rosalie (*1990) is single, and his brother Maximilian sadly passed away last year.

Fatima is used by catholics in honor of Our Lady of Fatima. It is not related to the muslim usage of the name.

Though the name is pretty traditional for Catholics in the Iberian peninsula, it does have Muslim roots. Fatima, the city in Portugal that Our Lady of Fatima appeared at, was named for a Moorish princess.

I did not say it did not have muslim roots. That is obvious. I was saying catholics use it for a different reason than muslims

Fatima and Mary have a lot in common. Fatima is chosen by Muslims in honor of the daughter of Mohammed. Like Mary, she is highly venerated, and held as an example of a proper woman. It is interesting how popular considering it has become so popular as a Catholic name, when in the Muslim world it is one of the most popular girls names (it is like the Mary of the Muslim world name wise).
