Sheikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman died on 12 January 2013. Sheikh Abdullah is a brother of the Emir of Ajman, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.
 
Her Royal Highness Princess Margarita of Baden passed away on 15 January 2013, aged 80.

She was born on 14 July 1932, the eldest child and daughter of Margrave Berthold of Baden and of his wife, née Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark.
She was married from 1957 until their divorce in 1981 to HRH Prince Tomislav of Yugoslavia, the second son of King Alexander I and Queen Maria of Yugoslavia. Together they became parents of two children, Prince Nikolas and Princess Katerina of Yugoslavia.
She is survived by her two children and their families, as well as her two brothers HRH the Margrave of Baden and HRH Prince Ludwig of Baden.

Sheikh Nasser bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani of Qatar, the brother of the Minister of State for Interior Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah, died on on or just before 10 February 2013.

Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, Governor of Riyadh, died on 12 February 2013, aged 71.

He was the 30th son of the late King Abdul Aziz by his wife Mudhi Al Sudairi, and an half brother of current King Abdullah.
He was married to Sheikha bint Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman, by whom he had four children.

Countess Isabelle zu Ortenburg, née Countess von Aldenburg-Bentinck, died at Castle Middachten on 8 March 2013, aged 87.

She was born at Middachten on 3 July 1925, daughter of Count William von Aldenburg-Bentinck and of his wife, née Jonkvrouwe Adrienne Vegelin van Claerbergen.
She married on 20 December 1951 to Count Aurel zu Ortenburg, by whom she had three children: Franz, Philipp and Nadine. Her husband predeceased her in 2001.
She is survived by her three children and many grandchildren.

H.Ill.H. Count Eberhard von Waldburg zu Zeil und Trauchburg passed away on 03 March 2013. He was 72.

He was born at Schloss Zeil on 30 April 1940, the fourth son and the last of the seven children of Fürst Erich August von Waldburg zu Zeil und Trauchburg (1899-1953) and of his wife Fürstin Monika, née Princess zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg (1905-1992, herself daughter of Fürst Aloys and Fürstin Josephine zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg).
He was married since 1966 to Countess Johanna Harrach, by whom he had two daughters and two sons (Stephanie, Maria Theresa, Johannes and Karl).
He is survived by his wife, his children, his son-in-law Philipp Hammer-Purgstall (husband of Maria Theresa), three grandchildren (children of Maria Theresa and Philipp) and by his siblings Georg, Maria Theresia, Aloysius, Karl and Sophie.

Prince Clemens von Croÿ passed away on 21 March 2013, aged 78.

Prince Clemens was born in Berlin on 5 July 1934, the only child of Duke Karl Rudolf von Croÿ (1889-1974) by his third wife, née Marie Louise Wiesner (1904-1945). He had three older half-siblings, the children of his father by his first wife: Duke Carl, Princess Antoinette and Princess Marie-Luise. He was the uncle of the current Head of the Family, Duke Rudolf von Croÿ.
He married firstly in 1962 to Countess Madeleine Kottulinsky (1941-1999); they had three children together, Princes Carl, Cecile and Constantin. Two years after his first wife's death, he remarried to Mrs Ilse Lilly Beck, née Hofmann (1937-2011).
He is survived by his three children, his children-in-law and many grandchildren, as well as his half-sister Marie-Luise.

HSH Princess Amalie zu Schwarzenberg, née Princess von Lobkowicz, passed away on 3 April 2013 aged 92.

Amalie was born on 25 January 1921 in Unterberkovic, the second of the four daughters of Prince Leopold von Lobkowicz (1888-1933) and of his wife, née Princess Franziska von Montenuovo (1893-1972).
She married on 23 May 1944 to Prince Franz zu Schwarzenberg (1913-1992, the second son of Fürst Karl and Fürstin Eleonore zu Schwarzenberg). They became parents of two daughters, Ludmila and Isabella, and a son, Johann.
She is survived by her three children, their families, and by her younger sister Countess Leopoldine Dobrzensky.

HH Princess Otto of Hesse, née Elisabeth Bönker, passed away on 12 April 2013, aged 69.

She was born on 31 January 1944 and married to HH Prince Otto of Hesse (the third son of Landgrave Philipp and Landgravine Mafalda of Hesse, and youngest brother of the current Head of the House of Hesse, Landgrave Moritz) on 28 January 1988.
Prince Otto died in 1998, aged 60.

HRH Princess Editha of Bavaria, Mrs. Gustav Schimert, passed away on 4 May 2013, aged 88.

She was born at Hohenburg on 16 September 1924, as the second daughter and third child of Crown Prince Rupprecht of Bavaria and his second wife, née Princess Antonia of Luxembourg and Nassau.
She married twice: firstly in 1946 to Tito Brunetti, by whom she had three daughters (Serena, Carlotta and Antonia, who has been married to her second cousin Count Erich von Waldburg zu Zeil und Trauchburg) and who predeceased her in 1954. She married secondly to Prof. Gustav Schimert, from 1959 until his death in 1990; they became parents of three sons, Andreas, Christian and Constantin.

HSH Fürstin Eva-Benita zu Schaumburg-Lippe, née Baroness von Tiele-Winckler, passed away last night, aged 85.

She was born in 1927 and married in 1955 to Fürst Philipp-Ernst zu Shaumburg-Lippe (1928-2003). They had two sons; the eldest, Georg-Wilhelm, died in 1983 aged 25 in a traffic accident; the youngest, Alexander, is the current Fürst zu Schaumburg-Lippe.
She is survived by her son Alexander, her daughter-in-law Nadja-Anna, her grandchildren Heinrich Donatus, Felipa and Philomena.

Countess Dorrit af Rosenborg died on 14 May.

She was born Annie Helene Dorrit Puggard-Müller at Copenhagen on 8 September 1926. From 1948 to 1977 she was married to Count Oluf af Rosenborg, né Prince of Denmark (1923-1990), by whom she had two children: Ulrik (b.1950) and Charlotte (b.1953). In 1978 she married Bent Lund. She is survived by her children and four grandchildren.

H. E. Count Christian af Rosenborg died quietly in his sleep at Gentofte Hospital, 21 May 2013, at 23.00.
Information on the funeral will be announced later.

Count Christian af Rosenborg has died at the age of 70.

He was born in 1942, the youngest child of Hereditary Prince Knud of Denmark and Princess Caroline Mathilde, née of Denmark.
On his marriage to Anne-Dorthe Maltofte-Nielson in 1971 he renounced the title of Prince of Denmark and the qualification of Highness and became Count af Rosenborg.

He is survived by his wife and three daughters, his grandchildren, and his elder brother Count Ingolf af Rosenborg and his sister HH Princess Elisabeth of Dernmark.

He was 86 years old.

Princess Elisabeth zu Solms-Braunfels, nee Princess zur Lippe died at Baden-Baden in May.
She was born at Dresden-Blasewitz on 23 January 1916 as the daughter of Prince Julius zur Lippe (1873-1952) & his wife Marie, nee Duchess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. (1978-1948); she was thus a paternal first cousin of Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. On 15 February 1939 in Dresden she married Prince Ernst August zu Solms-Braunfels (1892-1968). She is survived by their daughter, Maria Angela (b.1940).

Count Albrecht von Rechberg und Rothenlöwen zu Hohenrechberg passed away on 30 May 2013, aged 92.

He was born on 23 September 1920, the second son of Count Wolfgang von Rechberg und Rothenlöwen zu Hohenrechberg and of his wife, née Countess Maria Franziska Strachwitz von Groß-Zauche und Camminetz.
He was married since 1962 to Baroness Freude-Marie Varnbüler von und zu Hemmingen (born in 1931), by whom he had two sons and one daughter (who predeceased her parents in 1974).He is survived by his wife and their two sons Ulrich and Thomas.

H.S.H. Prince Karl-Christian zur Lippe-Weissenfeld died on 7 March 2013, aged 82.

He was born at Dessau on 2 September 1930; he was the only child of Prince Karl zur Lippe-Weissenfeld (1889-1942) and of his wife, née Hedwig-Maria von Trotha (1903-1988).
He was unmarried and without issue.

Princess Fawzia bint Fuad of Egypt, former Queen of Iran, died on 2 July.

She was born on 5 November 1921 in Ras al-Tine Palace, Alexandria as the eldest daughter of Sultan Fuad I of Egypt and Sudan (later King Fuad I; 1868-1936) & his second wife, Queen Nazli Sabri (1894-1978).
She married firstly, on 16 March 1939, in Abdeen Palace, Cairo, Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, Crown Prince of Iran (1919-1980) who two years later succeded his father as the Shah of Iran. They had one daughter, Princess Shahnaz (b.1940); on 17 November 1948 their divorced was finalized.
She married secondly on 28 March 1949, in Abdeen Palace, Cairo, Colonel Ismail Shirin Bey (1919-1994) by whom she had another daughter Nadia (1950-2009) and a son Hussein (b.1955).
She is survived by her oldest daughter, her son, four granddaughters, one grandson, two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.
