Donna Ludovica Ruffo della Scaletta, Nobile dei Conti Terzi, died at Rome on 1 February.
She was born at Rome on 17 March 1917, daughter of Don Rufo Vincenzo Principe Ruffo, Principe della Scaletta (1888-1959) and his wife, née Gabriela Contessa Bacci (1892-1978). In 1947 she married Nobile Manfredi dei Conti Terzi (1916-1969).

Lady Mary Cecilia Clayton, nee Leveson Gower (maternal first cousin of QEII) died on 13 February.
She was born on 12 December 1917 as a firstborn daughter and older child of Lady Rose Bowes-Lyon (maternal aunt of QEII; 1890-1967) & her husband, William Spencer Leveson Gower, 4th Earl Granville (1880-1953).
She married on 7 July 1956 Samuel Wittewronge Clayton (younger son of Brigade General Sir Gilbert Fallingham Clayton) by whom she had a son Gilbert (b.1958) & daughter Rose (b.1960) as well as a grandson, Samuel Wittewronge Kit Clayton (2002) - son of Gilbert & his wife Rosalind, nee Mullen.
Her only brother, Granville James Leveson Gower, 5th Earl Granville, who was a year younger than she, died in 1996. In 2005 she also lost her niece, Lady Marcia Leveson Gower, who died aged 44, bereaving four children.
Apart from her descendants she left two nephews Granville, 6th Earl Grenville (b.1958) and Niall (b.1963) and their families.

Antoine de Gramont, 14th Duke de Gramont and Prince de Bidache, died on 18 February 2014 in Houston, Texas. He was 62.
He was born on 26 April 1951, the only child of Henri, 13th Duke de Gramont, and of his wife, née Odile Sublet d'Heudincourt de Lénoncourt. He became the 14th Duke at his father's death in 1995.
He was married since 2003 to Catherine Forget, by whom he had a son in 2008.
He is survived by his wife and their son Antoine (now the 15th Duke de Gramont and Prince de Bidache).

Katharine Bowes-Lyon, Elizabeth II's cousin, died on February 23 2014. She was 87.
Katharine was born on 4 July 1926 and was the youngest daughter and child of John Bowes-Lyon and his wife, The Hon. Fenella Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis. Her father was a favourite brother of The Queen Mother. She was mentally handicapped and was admitted to the Royal Earlswood Hospital. Two Years ago, she appeared in a documentary entitled The Queen's Hidden Cousins.

His Excellency,Don Adolfo Suárez González, 1st Duke of Suárez, Grandee of Spain & former Prime Minister of Spain died today in Madrid aged 81.He served as Prime Minister from 1976-1981 and was ennobled by H.M.King Juan Carlos and raised to the rank of 1st Duke of Suárez, Grandee of Spain a Hereditary Title in 1981.

Susan Duchess of Montrose, who died 13 March, 2014, aged 85, was the widow of James Angus Graham, 7th Duke of Montrose (1907-92) (Peerage of Scotland, cr 1707).
She was born on 15 November 1928 in Zanzibar as Susan Mary Jocelyn Semple, daughter of Dr John Mervyl Semple, of Gilgil, Kenya, by his wife Anne Gladys, nee Steen. She married firstly Michael Raleigh Gibbs (deceased) of Nakuru, Kenya, by whom she had one child; married 2ndly in Salisbury (South Rodesia) on 17 Apr, 1952, as his 2nd wife, James Angus Graham, styled Marquess of Graham (1907-1992), who succeeded his father as 7th Duke of Montrose on 20 Jan, 1954; in 1930-1950 he was married to Isobel Veronica Seller (1907-1990) by whom he had two children: Fiona Mary (b.1932) & James (b.1935) who succeeded his father as 8th Duke of Montrose.
The Duchess is survived by 5 children, one from the first marriage, and by two sons, Donald Alasdair (b.1956) & Calum Ian (b.1958), and two daughters, Cairistiona Anne (b.1955) & Lilias Catriona Maighearad (b.1960) from the second marriage, as well as numerous grandchildren.

He married in Couzeix on 12 July 1975 Anne Bouvet (b.1951) but hey divorced in 1982. He is survived by their three children: Helene Pascale (b.1976), Raphael (b.1978) & Paul-Marie (b.1979) as well as a son-in-law Alain Larrand (b.1968).

Elizabeth "Lisa" Lanett, nee Edle von Hortenau died this year.
She was born in 1921 as a daughter of Alfred Joseph Edler von Hortenau, who became Alfred Hort (1892-1957) {himself illegitimate son of Otto, Archduke of Austria (1865-1906) & Marie Schleinzer, wife of Julius, Edler von Hortenau} & his first wife, Charlotte Beer (1893-1966)].
In 1940 she married Juan Hevia del Puerto; in 1942 they had twin sons, Francisco and Jose, who died as babies/soon after being born (or were stillborn).
In 1945 she gave birth to another son, Antonio Mguel, who bears now the surname Bohler; two years later she & her husband divorced.
After divorce, she got married three times: to Hector Mendoza Orozco (from 1951 to 1956), to a man whose name is unknown and finally in 1973 to Joseph oldham Lanett who was 27 years younger than she and died two years after their wedding.
She leaves her son, two grandsons: Michael (b.1966) & Richard (b.1967) and three great-grandchildren: great-granddaughters Jessica (b.1988) & Samantha (b.2009) - daughters of Michael & his wife Deanna, nee Woolf, and a great-grandson Nicholas (b.2003) - son of Richard & Sylvie Galvan (b.1966).
In the last years Lisa became known by claiming that the biological father of her only surviving son was in fact President John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

Countess Anna Bertha von Almeida died this year.
She was born in 1925 as second of three children and older daughter of Count Carl von Almeida (1885-1975) & his wife, Princess Gabriele of Lobkowicz (1895-1969). She had a brother, Hieronimus (1923-2006) who was married to Ruth Lankes (1921-2013) and a sister, Maria Annunziata (1927-2009).
She never married. Apparently all three siblings were childless.

Melissa Countess of Solms-Baruth, née Butler, died on 23 April at her home in Leonardtown, Maryland.
She was born on 5 May 1954 in Providence, Rhode Island, to George and Mary Butler. She married Christian Count of Solms-Baruth (b.1954) [son of Friedrich-Hans Ferdinand Wilhelm Count of Solms-Baruth (1923-2006) & his wife, Princess Oda of Stolberg-Wernigerode (1925-1978)] on 31 October 1979 in New York City.
She is survived by her husband, her children Oda (b.1981), Carolina (b.1987) & Alexander (b.1989) and grandson, Lucas (son of Oda).

Horrible sadness fell on Countess Philippine of Limburg-Stirum (b.1946) & her husband Renaud Querton (b.1943):
Their second daughter, Marie-Armandine, died on 24 April, aged 40.
She was born in Uccle on 8 January.
She bereft her husband Jose Zurstrassen (b.1967) whom she married in 1999 and five children: Elise (b.2000), Annabelle (b.2002), Nine (b.2006), Eric (b.2009) & Alec (b.2012).
Apart from her parents, husband & children she left her four sisters: Monique (b.1972), Isabelle (b.1979), Sophie (b.1980) & Diane (b.1983), one brother Thomas (b.1974) and eight nephews.

She was born in Antwerp on 27 November 1929. She married in Capelle au Bois 1959 Count Arnauld de Looz Corswarem (b.1929) with whom she had two sons: Hugues (b.1960) & Philippe (b.1962).
Apart from her husband and sons she left two granddaughters: Savina (b.1991) & Manaelle (b.1992) - daughters of Philippe & his wife Daphne, nee Binon de Peyronnet.

Count Claude de Lannoy-Cervaux died on 4 may 2014, aged 82.
He was the youngest child but only son of Count Jules de Lannoy-Cervaux and of his second wife, née Jarrakieva Anguelcova.
He was married since 1968 to Karen Butler, by whom he had a daughter Christine.

She was born at Cape Town on 11 July 1954, daughter of Prince Dominik Radziwill (1911-1976) and his second wife, Lida Lacey Bloodgood (1923-2008). She married in 1976 André Wagnière, whom she subsequently divorced. She is survived by her children, Gabrielle (b.1982) and Georges (b.1985) Wagnière.

Mary Soames, Baroness Soames, née Spencer-Churchill, passed away on 31 May 2014, aged 91.
She was born on 15 September 1922, the youngest daughter of Sir Winston Spencer-Churchill (British Prime Minister in 1940-1945 and in 1951-1955) and of his wife, née Clementine Hozier. Her paternal grandfather, Lord Randolph Spencer-Churchill, was the second son of the 7th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough.
She was married from 1947 until his death in 1987 to Christopher Soames, who was created in 1978 a life peer as Baron Soames. They became parents of three sons and two daughters.
In 2005 she was appinted a Lady Companion of the Order of the Garter.
She is survived by her children, their spouses and by 11 grandchildren.

Claude Suchet, Duchess of Albufèra, passed away on 12 May 2014, aged 91.
She was born as Claude de Ladoucette on 12 March 1923; she married in 1943 to Count Napoléon Suchet (1912-2006), who in 1995 succeeded to his brother as the 6th Duke of Albufèra. They became parents of three sons (two of whom predeceased their parents) and one daughter.

She was born in Dalmatia on 20 July. She married in Alltoting on 28 November 1958 Prince Maximilian von Croy (b.1932) [son of Prince Alexis von Croy (1910-2002) & his first wife, Countess Elisabeth von Beaufort-Spontin (1911-1995)]; they dicorced in 1973.
She left a son Alexis (b.1959), a daughter Anna Maria (b.1965) and two grandchildren: Marian (b.2002) & Amelia (b.2004) - children of Alexis & his wife Nicola, nee Mai (b.1961); Anna Maria is married to much younger Rico Markefka, later von Croy (b.1981).

She was born in Geneva on 3 August 1961, as second of three daughters of Count Rudolf Fugger von Babenhausen (1927-1984) by his second wife, Maria Leila Duarte (1929-1999). Her parents divorced in 1965. She married in New York on 21 December 2005 Gerald Held (b.1958).
Apart from her husband she left her younger sister Alexandra (b.1964); her older sister Christiane predeceased her in 2009 (aged 49), as also did her half-sister Maria Isabella in 1980 (aged 30) [daughter of her father by his first wife Angela Crespi (b.1922)].

She married civilly in Mettman bei Dusseldorf on 21 July and religiously in Rudenhausen on 6 September 1951 Gunther von Bunau (1911-1996).
She left her brother Alfred, current Count von Solms-Sonnerwalde (b.1932); her other sibling Rosa & Otto predeceased her - Rosa in 1928 (aged 20) and Otto in 1931 (aged 10).

She was born at Lausanne on 1 May 1942, daughter of Don Tommaso Principe Corsini, Principe Romano, Principe di Sismano, Duca di Civitella, Duca di Casigliano, etc. (1903-1980) and of his wife, Nobile Elena Avogadro di Collobiano dei Conti di Valdengo e dei Signori di Collobiano (1903-1980). In 1961 she married Marchese Don Enrico Incisa della Rocchetta (1934-2005). She is survived by her children.
