Baroness Maria Antonia von Twickel, née Countess zu Stolberg-Stolberg, died on 6 May 2011 at Westheim, Germany, aged 87.

She was born on 2 November 1923, the only daughter of Count Josef and Countess Helene zu Stolberg-Stolberg. She was married from 1947 until his death to Baron Klemens von Twickel (1911-1960).

Donna Clara of the Marquesses Ferrero de Gubernatis Ventimiglia, née Clara of the Barons Nasi, died on 24 May 2011 at her home in Turin, aged 97.

Clara Nasi was born in 1913, daughter of Carlo and Aniceta, née Agnelli, herself the daughter of the founder of FIAT car manufacturing Giovanni Agnelli.
She married in 1931 to Don Luca of the Marquesses Ferrero de Gubernatis Ventimiglia (1906-1982), with whom she had two sons, Emanuele and Edoardo; Emanuele predeceased her in 2002.

And we have another bereaved parents: Jean, Baron d'Anethan (b.1923) & his wife Henriette, nee Baroness d'Oversschie de Neeryssche (b.1930):

Their oldest son, Baron Francois d'Anethan died this year.
He was born in 1954. In 1985 he married Birgitte de Becker, but they later divorced. Apart from his parents, he bereaved his daughter Rose (b.1986), his son Justin (b.1990) and two granddaughters: Apolline (b.2008) & Georgina (b.2010) [daughters of Rose & her husband, Nobile Giuseppe Clerici Bagozzi (b.1977)]

Count Charles d’Ursel died on 5 June 2011; he was 89.

He was born in 1921, the second son of Count Louis d’Ursel and of his wife, née Geneviève le Peletier de Rosanbo. He was married since 1950 to Baroness Marguerite Guillaume.
He is survived by his wife, their six children and several grandchildren.

Wilhelm Graf zu Stolberg-Stolberg died at Cascais on 3 April.

[He was born at Ascherode on 2 June 1927, son of Joseph Graf zu Stolberg-Stolberg and of Theresia Freiin von Ketteler. He was married firstly from 1961 to 1970 to Princess Irene von Isenburg, secondly, in 1972, to Annemarie Elisabeth Klaas (1933-2002), and thirdly, in 2005, to Frances Ann Sutherland. He is survived by three children from the first marriage and grandchildren.]

Esme, the Dowager Countess of Cromer, dies | Mail Online
Esme, Dowager Countess of Cromer, has died peacefully in hospital at the age of 88 after a short illness.
A former Lady-in-Waiting to the Queen, artist and author, she was a co-chairman of the Founding Council of the Rothermere American Institute, an international centre of excellence at the University of Oxford for the study of the United States.
 
Don Francesco del Drago, Marquess of Riofreddo, of the Princes of Antuni and Mazzano, died at Filacciano on 12 May 2011, aged 91.

He was born in 1920, eldest son of Don Clemente and Donna Giacinta del Drago; he was married since 1946 to Maria Piacitelli, with whom he had two daughters, Francesca and Barbara (most sources report the name of the second daughter to be Barbara, although an obituary I've read reported that her name is Elena). Don Francesco was an acknowledged painter.

Don Francesco died less than two months after his brother Don Alessandro, who also died at Filacciano on 24 March 2011.

Therese, Baroness de Kerchove d'Exaerde, nee Jonkvrouw Casier de ter Beken, died this year.

She was born in 1925 as the youngest of three children of Adrien, Baron Casier de ter Beken (1890-1979) & his wife Madeleine Pigault de Beaupre (1890-1979).
In 1949 she married Albert, Baron de Kerchove d'Exaerde (1926-2009), by whom she had four children: Solange (b.1950), Regine (1952), Jean-Francois (1953) and Chantal (1955).
Apart from them she left twelve grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
She is also survived by her sister Simone, Jonkvrouw Goethals (b.1921) & her family.
In 1930 she lost her brother, Harold (aged 16) and in 2009, oldest niece Martine (aged 66).

Jonkheer Alexander van der Wyck died this year.
He was born in 1935 as the oldest son of Jonkheer Wolter van der Wyck (1904-...) & his wife, Baroness Lilian van Heeckeren van Kell (1906-1985).
He is survived by his twin sister Alexandra, as well as four younger siblings: Lilian (b.1936), Evert (b.1938), Otto (b.1942) and Christa (b.1942), nine nephews, two nieces and their families. He was unmarried and childless.

Countess Elizabeth zu-Castell-Rudenhausen died in Uffing on 1 August, 23 days before her 97 birthday.
She was fourth child and third daughter of Casimir, Prince of Castell-Rudenhausen 91861-1933) & his wife Mechtild, nee Countess von Bentinck (1877-1940).
She was the last child of her parents to pass away.
In 1939 she married her cousin, Count Friedrich-Wolfgang zu-Castell-Rudenhausen, third child and first son of her paternal uncle, Count Hugo zu-Castell-Rudenhausen (1871-1936) & his wife Clementine, nee Countess zu Solms-Sonnenwalde (1881-1971).
He was eight years older than she and a year earlier divorced from his first wife, Princess Karoline-Mathilde of Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha (1912-1983), by whom he had three children: Bertram (b.1932), Conradin (b.1934) and Victoria (b.1935).
On 17 April 1940, their only son together, Hesso Friedrich, was born; unfortunately, 55 days later Friedrich-Wolfgang was killed in action near Portland, U.S.
14 moths after him his only brother Friedrich-Franz met the same destiny in Wiasowsky, Russia.
In 1944, within short period of time, sadness hit again the young widow: in action were killed also her two brothers: Rupert (in Romania on 19 August, aged 34) and Unico (in Latvia, exactly one month later, aged 21).
At the age of ten, she also lost her sister, Martha (aged 12; another sister, Maria died in 1980, aged 73, unmarried and childless).
On 11 January 1947 she married again; her second husband was two years her junior Theodor Duvelius, who died in 2009. By him, she had three children more children: Rembert, Mechtild (b.1949) and Dorothea.
She is survived by her four children and four grandchildren, as well as four stepchldren and their families.
In January last year she also lost her nephew, Christian (aged 57), [son of her only brother who survived the war, Siegfried (1916-2007); he was also maternal grandfather of the bridegroom-to-be, Georg-Friedrich, Prince of Prussia.]

Don Marc'Antonio dei principi Borghese (b.Rome 2 October 1928, son of principe Flavio Camillo Borghese and of Donna Angela Paternò) died at Rome on 15 September. He was married since 1970 to Brenda Maud Brown and is also survived by a son, Flavio. The funeral is to take place on 17 September at Cappella Borghese della Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.

Sofia Caraballo died due to an accident in Portillo, a ski center near Santiago de Chile. She was 10, the daughter of Gonzalo Caraballo and Agnès de la Tour d´Auvergne Lauraguais (herself the daughter of Prince Bernard [son of the late Prince Charles-Louis and of Renée Oster Heim] and of Donatella Ferrante)

Isabelle de La Rochefoucauld died on 10 September 2011
, aged 92.
She was born at Paris on 28 March 1919, the eldest daughter of Jean de La Rochefoucauld, later Duke of La Rochefoucauld, Liancourt and Anville, and his wife, née Edmée Frisch de Fels.
She has been married twice: firstly from 1938 to 1942 to Jean, Marquis de Mailly-Nesle, Prince d'Orange, and secondly from 1956 to 1959 to Pierre Ehrmann. Both marriages ended in divorce.

Five months after wedding of Princess Victoria Galitzine to Robert Hanson, sorrow has come to this family:

Her Grandmother, Princess Gwendoline Galitzine, nee Rhodes died on 21 September.
She was born in Shipley (Yorkshire, England) on 4 July 1920.
She married in London on 23 February 1943 Prince Emanuel Galitzine (1918-2002) by whom she had three sons: Nicholas (b.1944), Michael (b.1949) and Emanuel (b.1951, father of Victoria). Apart from them, she is survived by:
Two daughters-in-law: Gisele, nee Hartmann (b.1942, wife of Michael) & Penelope, nee Allen (b.1953, wife of Emanuel; wife of Nicholas, Anne nee Ramsey, died in 2006, aged 60)
Five grandchildren: Alexander (b.1973, married to Lisa Boyachuk), Tanya (b.1977, married to Daniel Scott), James (b.1980) [children of Nicholas], Victoria (b.1984, married to Robert Hanson) & Michael (b.1993) [children of Emanuel; her second son, Michael is childless]
One great-granddaughter: Anastasia Mary Scott (b.2005; daughter of Tanya)

Princess Eleonore zu-Salm-Salm, nee Zizewitz, primo voto Caminneci died in Reinbeck on 16 February.

She was born in Prebendow on 24 November 1919.
In 1940 she married Harras Ursus Caminneci, a year older than she [son of Mathilde Eulalie von Siemens (1888-1945) & her husband, Oskar Caminneci (1885-1945)]. They had a son Pier Andrea (b.1942). Unfortunately, his father bereaved him in 1944.
Young widow married again, in Hamburg-Eimsbuttel on 19 October 1950, Nikolaus- Leopold Prince of Salm-Salm (1906-1988). He divorced two years earlier his first wife, Princess Ida von Wrede, by whom he had four children: Konstanze (b.1929), Carl-Philip (b.1933) and twins Anna and Margarethe (b.1935); his oter son Alfred was killed in air raid in 1945, aged 15.
In 1953 their only son together, Ludwig-Wilhelm, was born; unfortunately they divorced in 1961.
Soon after divorce her former husband married again and had another son, Christian-Nikolaus, by his third wife.
She is survived by her two sons, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as three former step-children (Konstanze died in 1980)

Soon after Countess Elizabeth zu-Castell Rudenhausen, later Mrs. Duvelius, her stepson passed away:

Count Conradin of Castell-Rudenhausen died on 1 October, nine days before his 78th Birthday.

He was born in Berlin as second child of Friedrich-Wolfgang of Castell-Rudenhausen (1906-1940) & his first wife, Princess Caroline-Mathilde of Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha (1912-1983).
As a boy he experienced many "whirlwinds" in his life:
In early 1938 his parents divorced.
In June the same year his mother married again to Max Schnirring, (17 years her senior) in the same year his half-sister Calma was born.
In April next year his father married again to his distant cousin.
And 13 and a half months later was killed in action in Portland, leaving half-orphans him, his two siblings and half-brother. (in the same year Conradin's other maternal half-sister, Sybilla, was born).
In July 1944 his stepfather was killed in car crash in Stralsund, a year after birth of Conradin's youngest half-brother, Michael.
In December 1948 his mother married for the third time, to Karl-Otto Andree, but they divorced already next year.
On 6 July 1961 he married in Helsinki Marta Lonegren (b.1939). Exactly nine months and one day later, their daughter Anne-Charlotte was born. They also had a son, Carl-Eduard, born15 March 1964.
Apart from his wife and children he is survived also by five grandson and one granddaughter, as well as brother Bertram (b.1932), sister Victoria (b.1935), half-brother Hesso (b.1940), half sisters Calma and Sybilla and their families (his youngest half-brother Michael predeceased him in 1966, aged 23)

Also Countess Michaela of Castell-Rudenhausen died in Grunwald on 19 August.

She was born in Munich on 4 October 1945 as second daughter of Count Wulf of Castell-Rudenhausen (1905-1980 ) & his second wife, Luise Ullrich (1911-1985).
She married in Kempten on 5 January 1968 Bernd Rosemeyer (b.1937).
Apart from her husband she is survived by her sister, Gabriele (b.1943)

Paul Vermeer died this year.

He was born in 1935. In 1968 he married Jonkvrouv Dawn van der Wyck (b.1940) [daughter of Jonkvrouw Brydgytte Bentinck (1916-2010) & her husband, Jonkheer Adriaan van der Wyck (1906-1973)]. They had three children: Robert (b.1968), Fiona (b.1970) & Nadia (b.1971). They divorced in 1990.
Apart from his former wife and children, she is survived also by his four grandchildren.

Philippe Baron Lambert died this year.

He was born in 1930 as second child of Henri,Baron Lambert (1887-1933) {himself son of Baroness Lucie de Rothschild (1863-1916) & her husband Leon Lambert,who was created Baron Lambert in 1896 (1851-1919)}& his wife Johanna, nee von Reininghaus (1899-1960).
In 1962 he married Patricia Harris (b.1932); in the same year their daughter, Johanna was born. Their marriage ended indivorce in 1973. Two years later he married Marion de Vries (b.1943) by whom he had another daughter Philippine (b.1977) and a son Henri (b.1978).
He is survived by his wife, Johanna, Henri, and two grandchildren Cayla and Lucas (Johanna's children) as well as his sister Lucie (b.1933) & her husband Alain Eugene Capeilleres (b.1932); his older brother Leon died in 1987, aged 59, andhis younger daughter Philippine in 1997, aged 20.

Joyce Kallir, nee Rubin died this year.

She was born in 1925. In 1949 she married John Kallir (b.1923), son of Countess Franziska von Lowenstein-Sharffeneck (1899-1991) & her husband Otto Nirenstein, who became Otto Kallir in1933 (1894-1978).
She is survived by her husband, daughters Jane (b.1950) & Barbara (1959), son-in-law Gary Cosimini (b.1950, husband of Jane) and sister-in-law Eva Marie (b.1925).

Count Louis Cornet d'Elzius passed away at Bruxelles on 11 November 2011, aged 83.

Born on 2 January 1928, he married in 1959/1960 to Countess Colette d'Ursel, who died six months ago.
He is survived by their three children, six grandchildren, his siblings and siblings-in-law and their families.

He was born on 19 February 1963, eldest son of Count Johannes von Walderdorff and his wife, née Baroness Sophie von Hoenning O'Carroll.
He married firstly toAlexandra von Witzleben in 1989; they had two daughters together, Antonia and Ludmila. Their marriage ended in divorce.
He married secondly in 2002 to Princess Marie Therese von Croy, eldest daughter of Duke Carl von Croy and his wife, née Princess Gabrielle of Bavaria. They didn't have children together.

He didn't have biological children with his second wife, but by marrying her he gained a stepdaughter, Laura (b.1986), Marie Therese's daughter out of wedlock. The identity of her father is unknown.

Hans Georg, Baron Herring von Frankensdorff died this year.
He was born in 1933 as second child of Princess Elisabeth of Schaumburg-Lippe (1909-1933; probably she died giving birth to him) & her husband Johann, Baron Herring von Frankensdorff (1891-1971). In 1964 he married Anneliese Buchholz (b.1941). They had a daughter, Elisabeth (b.1964).
Apart from his wife and daughter he is survived by his sister Sybille (b.1929) and her husband, Eugene Jemail (b.1929)

Tsuyuko Davout, Duchess of Auerstaedt, née Ayusawa, died at Neuilly-sur-Seine (near Paris) on 11 November 2011. She was 88.
Born on 30 June 1923, she was a daughter of Japanese diplomat Iwao Ayusawa and his wife, née Tomiko Yoshioka. She married in 1950 to Leopold Davout, who in 1958 succeeded to his father as 5th Duke of Auerstaedt; they became parents of six children. Her husband predeceased her in 1985, as well as their eldest son Charles, the 6th Duke of Auerstaedt, who passed away in 2006.
She is survived by her five younger children, a daughter-in-law, three grandchildren and a granddaughter-in-law.

Angelica Ilyinsky, née Kauffman, widow of Prince Paul Ilyinsky (1928-2004), himself the son of Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich of Russia, died at Palm Beach, Florida, on 19 November.

She is usrvived by her four children: Dimitri (b.1954), Paula (b.1956), Ann (b.1958) & Michael (b.1959), their spouses, nine grandchildren, one grandson-in-law and one great-granddaughter.
In 2002 she experienced a great tragedy; one of her granddaughters, Makena Comisar (daughter of Paula) was killed in a car accident, aged 18.

Descendants of King Christian IX of Denmark
 
François, 14th Duke of La Rochefoucauld, of Liancourt and of Anville, passed away at the château de La Rochefoucauld on 29 November 2011, aged 90.

He was born in Paris on 12 December 1920, second child and oldest son of Jean, 13th Duke of La Rochefoucauld, of Liancourt and of Anville, and his wife, née Edmée Frisch de Fels.
He married three times: firstly from 1946 to 1948 to Jeanine Renée Petit, secondly from 1950 to 1961 to Sonia Marie Matossian and thirdly from 1967 to her death in 2004 to Jeanne Marie de Villiers-Terrage. He had four children (three daughters and a son) by his second wife. His son François Alexandre succeedes him in his titles.

He is survived by his children, their families, a sister-in-law and his younger sister Solange; his older sister Isabelle passed away on 10 September.

Donna Sibylla Cech-Erba Odescalchi died this year.

She was born in 1945 as an only child of Archduchess Margarethe of Austria (1925-1979) & her husband, Don Alessandro Cech-Erba Odescalchi, Prince di Monteleone (1914-2008).
In 1967 she married Samir Fawzi Beshai Bekket (1938-1979). They had three children: Augustin (b.1968), Helene (b.1969) and Eleonore (b.1974).
She is survived by her children, daughter in-law Lisa Katarina, nee Stenhammar (b.1972) and her only granddaughter Sarah Petersson (b.1996; daughter of Helene and her former husband Lars Petersson, b.1965).

[She was born in 1922, daughter of Marchese Gino Roi and of Nobile Antonia Lonigo and married in 1950 Count Leonida Ceschi a Santa Croce (1918-2010, himself son Count Giovanni Battista Ceschi a Santa Croce (1871-1936) and of Princess Luise zu Windish-Graetz (1886-1971)). She is survived by four sons and two daughters.]

Donna Lydia, Duchessa Sforza-Cesarini, Principessa di Genzano, née Lo Savio, died in Rome on 15 July.

Don Luigi Costa Sanseverino, Principe di Bisignano, Principe di Torrenova, Principe di San Giorgio, etc. died in Rome on 25 September.

[He was born in 1940, son of Don Edoardo Costa Sanseverino, Principe di Bisignano, etc. (1909-1983) and of Aurelia Clara Raggio (d. 1976) and married in 1969 Hilary Lindsay. He is survived by her and by only one of their two sons.]

Don Salvatore (known as Micky) dei principi Pignatelli Aragona Cortes dei duchi di Terranova died in Naples on 12 August.

[He was born in 1945, son of Don Mario dei principi Pignatelli Aragona Cortes and of Giulia Panichi, and married in 1985 Donna Orietta Caracciolo dei principi di Melissano, ( b. 1955, herself daughter of Don Francesco Caracciolo dei principi di Melissano and of Donna Pia Maria d'Aquino dei principi di Caramanico). He is survived by his wife, two daughters and one son.]

He is survived hy her, one son and one daughter.]

Donna Paola dei marchesi Patrizi Naro Montoro, Patrician of Rome, died in Bracciano (near Rome) on 29 August.

Marchese Giacinto Guglielmi Grazioli Lante della Rovere, Marchese di Vulci, Marchese di Montebello, died in Rome on 25 November.

Count Senator Umberto Bonaldi died in Rome on 25 October.

Don Camillo Borghese, Prince Borghese, Prince of Sulmona and of Rossano, Prince of Sperlinga dei Manganelli, died at Rome on 22 December 2011, aged 84.

He was born at Rome on 30 October 1927, eldest son of Don Flavio Camillo Borghese, Prince Borghese, Prince of Sulmona and Rossano, and of his wife, Donna Angela, Princess of Sperlinga dei Manganelli.
He married in 1958 to Rossana Nucci; they had two children together, Flaminia and Scipione. His wife predeceased him in 1981.
He is survived by his two children, his son-in-law, two grandchildren.

Don Niccolò Gaetani dell' Aquila d'Aragona dei duchi di Laurenzana died in Rome on 21 December.

[He was born in 1928, son of Don Filippo Gaetani, Duca di Laurenzana, Principe di Piedimonte (1897-1967) and of Isabella dei marchesi Gerini (1899-1973) and married in 1958 Costanza dei conti della Gherardesca, Patrician of Florence. The marriage was annulled by the Holy See in 1970 and he married secondly in 1983 Maria Luisa dei conti Magistrati (b. 1948) and is survived by her, one son and one daughter from his first marriage.]

Don Raimondo Guglielmo Moncada dei principi di Paternò died in Rome on 30 December.

Count Don Riccardo Tosti dei duchi di Valminuta died in Milan on 30 December.
