Such sad news, may Princess Maria rest in peace. No parents should outlive their children.

Alejandro "Aless" Lequio di Assaba y García died prematurely in Barcelona on 13 May, after two year battle with cancer.

He was born in 1992 as a son of Alessandro Lequio di Assaba (b.1960) [son of Donna Alessandra Torlonia (1936-2014) {herself daughter of Infanta Beatriz of Spain (1909-2002) & her husband Don Alessandro Torlonia, Prince di Civitelli Cesi (1911-1986)} & her husband Clemente Lequio di Assaba (1925-1971)] & Ana García y Obregón (b.1955) [Spanish actress, television presenter, celebrity and socialite, daughter of Antonio García Fernández (b.1926) & his wife Ana María Obregón Navarro].
He had two paternal half-siblings: Clemente (b.1988) - son of his father by his first wife Antonia Dell'Atte (b.1960) and Ginevra (b.2016) by his father and his current wife María Palacios y Milla (b.1977).
He was unmarried and didn't have children.

I think he was a cousin of Princess Sybille of Luxemberg, who is also a descendant of the Infanta Beatriz of Spain.

Only 27 years old...how very sad.

Yes, first cousins once removed from Sibylla. Sibylla is first cousins with his father Count Alessandro Lequio di Assaba, both grandchildren of Beatriz. Alessandro's mother Princess Alessandra was Beatriz's eldest child. Sibylla's mother Olimpia was her youngest (there was 2 brothers in between). And a second cousin once removed of King Felipe.

Hard hearing any deaths, but two such young deaths. Fortunately unlike Princess Maria Galitzine, he doesn't leave children. My heart went out to her husband and 2 year old son, and of course her family.

His father is indeed a first cousin of princess Sibilla.

Alejandro had a 4-year older half-brother (by father and his first wife) and a 14 year younger half-sister (by father and his second wife); his parents were never married - his mother was one of his father's many 'conquests'.

What sad news!
Her family seems to be very close to the Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg.
It's very sad to see such a young person leave so suddenly.

Princess Maria Immaculata of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (1937-2020) passed away recently in Spain.

Among others, she was a first cousin of Princess Maria de las Mercedes of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, the mother of King Juan Carlos I of Spain and the grandmother of King Felipe VI of Spain.

Count Mario von Ledebur-Wicheln died on 29 April.

He was born in St. Moritz on 28 July 1931.
He married civilly in St. Gilgen on 19 July and religiously in Unterach am Attersee on 20 July 1959 Princess Valerie von Altenburg (b.1931) [eldest of nine children of Archduke Clemens Salvator of Austria, who became Prince Clemens Salvator von Altenburg in 1949 (1904-1974) & his wife Countess Elisabeth Rességuier de Miremont (1906-2000)].
They had six children: Josepha (b.1962), Clementine (1963-2007), Heinrich (b.1964), Anna (b.1965), Benedicta (b.1969), Caroline (b.1972) and twenty-two grandchildren in total; apart from one of their daughters also one of their granddaughters predeceased them in 2015 aged 18 (her name was Elisabeth Dennis, she was a daughter of late Clementine).

He lost a child and a grandchild...so sad...
