I am guessing Prince Charles is on his way to Riyadh.

Condolences to the family. May he rest in peace. His Majesty made the long trip to Brisbane, Australia for the World Leaders G20 Summit November 15th. January the 1st he was admitted to hospital. So I guess the Crown Prince Salman acted as regent for his brother then. Crown Prince Salman is 80 yrs old.

According to CNN and Wikipedia, he's 79.

Prince Charles set to attend King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia's funeral - Telegraph
The Prince of Wales is expected to attend the funeral of King Abdullah in Saudi Arabia later on Friday.

Clarence House officials are understood to be urgently working on transport arrangements to get the Prince to Riyadh in time for the ceremony.

The Prince has been a regular visitor to Saudi Arabia over the years and counted the king as a personal friend.

If he attends the funeral, he will be doing so as the representative of the Queen, who no longer makes long distance trips overseas.

Sources said it was "likely" the Prince would attend the service if a scheduled or Royal flight aircraft can get him there in time

According to CNN and Wikipedia, he's 79.

All recent articles have mentioned he is 90 years old. It is said his brother Salman is 79 years old. Wikipedia is not always a reliable source.

Well 'official Britain' has certainly pulled out all the stops for the late King. The Queen has even ordered the flag over Westminster Abbey to half-mast to honour the king. Couldn't make it up.
